We eat often at Texas de Brazil but never before in Jacksonville and not sure we will return to this location. Service was not up to the Texas de Brazil standards. Tea and soft drink glasses sat empty, and we had to ask for refills, which came in a pitcher and poured over our melted ice in our glasses. Had to find our own clean dishes and on occasions dirty plates sat. We took a couple who never eaten at Texas d Brazil before and they came away only enjoying the salad bar.
Our waiter was great but the gaucho service with the meat cuts was awful. There were multiple times where we waited 10+ minutes for the next person to even show up and offer us something.
Food and atmosphere were fantastic! We came here for my 40th birthday — just me, my wife, and two kids. Our reservation was marked as birthday occasion and at no point did they even acknowledge the birthday (I confirmed it was on the paper they put on the table for the server). I didn't expect anything major, but when someone is spending their 40th birthday at your restaurant, a simple Happy Birthday would make the experience feel personable. We also were not asked if we...
