The Cake Shop of San Jose

I called to have a custom cake made for my grandson‘s first birthday. Regina was very helpful and we discussed the cake and the cake options. I like the fact that I could send her a picture and we did everything over the phone prior to me picking up the cake the morning of the party. The cake not only looked great, but the vanilla flavored cake was delicious too. I would order a custom cake again from this shop.

The owner completely messed up a birthday cake that we paid $165 for and then had the audacity to tell us she hadn’t done a refund since e1998. Idk how she’s even been in so called business since then. She then got on facebook and called us cheap. The cake was the wrong flavor the icing was horrible and the cursive was barely legible. To top it off the cake was bland and disgusting.

After seeing the owners (Regina Wilson) response to a previous customer in a public social media group I will never support this establishment. In this comment the owner called the individual trash and cheap, despite having charged them almost $200 for a cake. If google will allow me to add the screenshot of the conversation I will include that with my review. Whether the client is being horrible or not, no professional business should ever speak this way to or about their customers.

The whole experience was very unprofessional I texted a picture of the cake I wanted an was not asked or told that the cake they made similar to mine would be the same because that’s not what I sent further more I was not given a pick up time till till I called serval times once actually “finding” the place cake was not at all what I wanted the font was very small un readable cake was discolored an icing wasn’t done well!

Gail and Regina make amazing cakes, amazing. They have been making the cakes for my families special occasions for years and they recently made a 5 layer wedding cake and a dinosaur grooms cake for my daughters wedding. Not only were the cakes incredibly delicious but they were beautiful too.
Keep it local, use the cake shop. You will be glad you did

You’re cakes are honestly amazing but what is this on your website?

I wrote this review almost 3 years ago but for some reason wasn't published till now, My daughter's wedding cake was 5 tiers of butter cream and 5 tiers of flowers covered dummies, a total of 10 tiers, It looked and tasted amazing, the tiers were very sturdy. I loved their work and will definitely hire them for my other occasions.
