I've been to almost every Whit's location in Jax and St. Augustine. We love their $5 ice cream sandwiches (Whitties), and they are perfect for kids, though a little big. This location is always clean, orderly. Staff is fast. And both times I've been to this one, other customers were in and out so we had it to ourselves. Bathrooms are a worthy stop if you're out and about and want a clean one! Neighborhood is cute but full of anorexic Bravoleb-wannabes. Staff is always chill and cool though.

Whit's is one of my favorite places in Jacksonville! I usually visit the Jax Beach location but occasionally if in the area, I'll stop here. This location has great employees, service and of course custard! I almost always order the flavor of the day made into a River City Delight Whitser. I've never had a bad flavor or experience here. Make sure to check out their to-go pints and quarts!

My family and I always order all of our birthday cakes from Whits and have for years. Recently, the customer service over the phone and in store has been so unwelcoming and I feel like I am bothering the store when I call to place a cake order or pick up. I hope they do better. I used to love this place, now I just feel like a nusiance.

My husband and I moved to Jacksonville in early 2023. We heard about Whit's Frozen Custard of Avondale and thought we'd give it a try. Whoa! What a fabulous treat! Our only problem? We want to eat there every day.

Awesome place for frozen custard and better than the "other" chain ice cream spots! It has a classic old school brand but modern and trendy vibe that will attract customers of all ages. Their custard is made fresh and has a much creamier and sweeter taste than regular vanilla soft serve. They will add in and mix the toppings to make each option perfect in every bite. The lines move quick and they also offer samples of their featured flavor(s). I had the turtle whitzer and it was very good.
