Whit's Frozen Custard of South Jax

No going to say it's terrible, it's just that it's not any better than Dairy Queen. I got the shark bite and couldn't taste the raspberry at all... actually it just tasted like chocolate syrup... it overpowering everything.

Considering it's twice the price of DQ, I expected it to be better I don't see why this place is any higher than a 3.5 average.

Very disappointed with our visit on Valentine’s Day. My daughter ordered a mini strawberry cheesecake but was given a scoop of ice cream with toppings instead. She also wanted the mini flavor of the month but was told only smalls were available—yet she ended up with a large. On top of that, my mini scoop wasn’t even mixed or filled properly. Spent $15 on the wrong order, and all they said was ‘sorry.’ Feels like we were ripped off. Won’t be coming back.

Came in today to buy a premade cake for a short notice birthday party for someone with a gluten allergy. Lilly was awesome in helping me figure out what I could or couldn’t get and ultimately got an unfinished cake out of the back and finished it for me while I waited so I could substitute a gluten containing topping for a gluten free one. We’ve come to this location for years and love it, but the extra effort today was amazing

Came in on 9/29 for the ice cream sandwich of the month. They didn’t have any and the guy said we are getting ready for October but didn’t have the new flavor either. I said it’s still September. He said October is in 2 days and was extremely rude. Then don’t advertise it’s the flavor of the month when it’s really the flavor of when we feel like it. I know it’s an ice cream place but still should have some level of customer service. Left without even buying the ice cream quart. I guess they make enough money they don’t need good customer service.

Best frozen treats around!

Terrible experience 6/8/24. Ordered 1 scoop vanilla with chocolate syrup 2 go. Are you using hot syrup? Employee put too much of it and my entire custard was melted before I reached home which is 5 minutes away. It dripped all over my car which I just cleaned that morning. Custard is completely unedible as it was all liquid. Waste of $9.
