Yellow Rose BBQ

Fantastic Texas-style BBQ and the best you'll find here in JAX. I rate Franklin, Pecan Lodge, and Hard Eight at the top of my list, and Yellow Rose is a worthy substitute for this Native Texan.

Brisket 4.5/5 - great smoke flavor; they know what they're doing here.
Ribs 5/5 - perfectly cooked, not falling off the bone, Texas seasoned.
Jalapeno cheddar sausage 5/5 - the best you'll find anywhere.
Tex-Mex cornbread 4.5/5 - sweet and savory.
Charro beans 5/5 - wish they sold this by the pot.

I have to mention the service as well. You can tell they are proud of their restaurant and food and truly care about their customers. I can't wait to return.

This was a fantastic find! Great little locally owned place with outstanding customer service, delicious bbq, and, most surprisingly of all, one of the best tacos I've had anywhere! Family friendly atmosphere, several family's with young kids when we were there. Highly recommend!@

True Texas BBQ! I recently moved to Jacksonville from Fort Worth, TX and this place feels like a little slice of home. Great food and great people, Andrew and his team are crushing it! Love having a place like this in the area, I can’t recommend Yellow Rose BBQ enough!

It's a small restaurant. The BBQ is average and overpriced for the amount received. By the time we got there, they were out of food leaving not much to choose from.

Yellow Rose is fabulous. They do Texas style BBQ extremely well with pepper forward flavor as opposed to the typical in Jax Sweetness forward flavors. And don’t miss the sides. They’re awesome too.

Service- top notch, very friendly n knowledgeable
Food- that mac n cheese, I would go in just for that. Good flavor

If a first timer like I was, order the pit master so you can sample everything. I got an order of wings as well, while the wings were a tad to salty for me, they were still full of smoke flavor and delicious, I am going to say the ranch dressing is homemade. My husband loved the green beans, please keep those on the menu.

I feel like I walked into my cousins dining room and sat down for a meal. It felt warm and welcome and the food was delicious. This is the beginning of a beautiful friendship my bbq friends! So glad I found you guys. Thanks for an excellent dinner. Until next time!

I ordered the 2 brisket taco 0late which comes with 2 sides. 8 choose the potato salad and the beans. Oh my goodness everything eas AWESOME!! Never tasted potato salad and beans that great coming from a restaurant. Saved as one of my favorite places to eat. The food was Amazing!!

As a Texas native, this place is the epitomy of TX BBQ. Glad to finally find a place that resembles that and also gives that southern hospitality that I miss. Talked to Andrew, one of the owner's, and was very welcoming and giving to me and my friends. Definitely a must try when visiting Jax. Also, GO HORNS🤘🏼

I think it's the best barbecue restaurant for brisket in Jacksonville. It's even on a par with restaurants like this in Texas.
