“It’s almost a disappointment to have found this incredible restaurant because I will forever be letdown by thai at every other restaurant. THIS is the gold standard. Let me explain. Ok - first of all kind of a sneaky hole in the wall place with a surprisingly pleasant and classy vibe. Long bar with TVs, but no one sits at it, so a classy crowd here. The service is excellent and each dish is prepared to perfection. Coming out immediately when it is off the wok. So sure, you might wait a minute or two between each dish coming out but trust me, you wouldn’t want it any other way. Look at the photos I’ve provided! The food it hot, the noodles are clearly fresh noodles sourced locally and soft chewy perfection. The ingredient proportions perfect. The portions generous yet appropriate. The fish is as fresh as can be (my husband is obsessed with the pineapple curry snapper). The pad thai is mind blowing - you can taste the palm sugar - ugh, so good!! The pad see ew is the best we have ever had. The amount of protein they provide in each dish is so generous, I’m almost surprised they can turn a profit — but very grateful too! To explain how good this place is I will say this… we went one night with the kids and it was SO good we got a babysitter to go the next night without the kids and eat it all over again. To our dismay it ended up being closed on Tuesdays so we had to go elsewhere and we got ANOTHER babysitter to come back her later that week when it was open. I am absolutely shocked that locals don’t know about this restaurant when I tell them. I think the name doesn’t explain enough about who they are. So…. In summary… are photos below… drool…. Then get in your car and try this place out. I’ll be sad when it’s slammed busy because everyone discovered it, but also happy because they deserve the recognition.

Oh… and you don’t have to flag them down to fill your water glass. The servers pay attention here :)

Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly, but they need to behave enough because it’s not a huge or loud restaurant that would drown out crying, screaming or other misbehavior. I know because I had to tell my kids to keep it down!

Parking: Strip plaza parking. Spaces in front of the restaurant are limited to handicap only. The walk from the main parking is not far just a bit challenging; not well lit, and steps to navigate. If it's dark, it could be difficult for mobility challenged.

Wheelchair accessibility: 2 Handicap parking spots close to the door. Ramps near stores, just not from main parking area. No drop designated off area in this plaza. It could be challenging if the close parking is filled.“

“Love Thaicoon. The food is amazing. It's the best Thai food I've ever had. Tip when you order if you're super hungry. Order an appetizer, and the food will take some time. But trust me, it's worth the wait. The restaurant is one of my favorites to go to. We eat here quite often. Also, shout out to Yasmi. He is always so friendly and attentive keeping our drinks full.“

“We were traveling through and needed something to eat. It has been a long time since we have had not only real, decent quality sushi but also one that is reasonable at the same time. They do not serve Krab but Crab, they have real tuna, offer great conversation, patient, and very friendly. They also serve amazing real pickled ginger(not the jar pink dyed garbage)

We also arrived 30 min before closing and they served us with top notch service, smiles, it didn't feel like we were rushed or an inconvience for coming in late. We arrived from the keys after a week long python hunt and already tired and just dealing with travel troubles and all was forgotten when we arrived.

I am surprised they dont have 5 stars already.

I highly recommend the lobster plate and anything the owner suggests. He can help you get what you are looking or serve you what you dont even know you are missing!

“Such a lovely little place with outstanding customer service. My girlfriend and I decided to stop in for lunch here and couldn’t have been more pleased with our experience. The food was phenomenal and our waitress was very friendly and punctual. Our food came out much faster than we had anticipated which at first seemed to be a concern. When we took our first bites of our food we were both amazed. I ordered the chicken with the house peanut sauce and it was delicious. My girlfriend ordered their Thai basil pork and peppers. The chicken and pork of our meals were cooked flawlessly and the peanut sauce in mine was perfectly spiced. I finished my meal in record time. Everything came together beautifully. I highly recommend stopping by this particular Thai lotus when you are in the area. We will be going again 100%“

“On the way back from West Palm Beach, happened to dine at Kao Gang and the overall experience was excellent.

We ordered Gyoza, Crispy Calamari, Tuna Tartar, Crab Fried Rice , Drunken Noodles and Thai Tea & Mango Sticky Rice. Everything was a knock out of the park. And the service was very good as well.“
