Apps (the two we tried) were middle of the road, seaweed salad while nicely prepared was lacking flavor. Our table had ramen , fried rice and soba dishes and all were well prepared. You can tell this was made by someone that cares. Great amount of chicken, fresh veggies, I love that it came with a lot of sauce to soak into the rice.
