Stuart coffee in downtown closed this summer and the replacement coffee place is too expensive and parking can be difficult. I Can ride my bike or walk to Carmela’s. I love that it’s spacious and family owned. And for goodness sake people, DO NOT bring your Starbucks coffee in to another coffee shop so you can enjoy the atmosphere and ambiance (all which cost money) because this is a small business (not a huge corporation). Live in the moment and try something new and you’ll be beyond pleasantly surprised. ☺️“

“Extremely great service , but the sub had only 2 pieces of cheese , usually the minimum is 3 and we payed $22 for just this no drinks..The corn beef sandwich was great it was just lacking cheese with all the meat. If it wasn’t for that they would’ve had 5 stars. Definitely coming back again though.“

“Of all of the bagel shops down here the most delicious for me.
The bagels themselves are not super doughy and are the perfect shape in the perfect size. I'm partial to cinnamon raisin and everything they're out of this world I must tell you.
As a baker, I certainly cannot compare to Broadway Bagels and Deli. No competition here!
I highly recommend this place which by the way, is kept very clean and neat and is very attractive. It makes you feel comfortable. I went in the morning so I was able to secure a parking spot right in front and sometimes you just catch a good spot.
The owners are really so very nice, friendly and honest. The prices are not out of the average but here, you get a little more than expected. They will slice you bagels too.

“We chose to venture off road during a southbound trip to the Everglades and went to Flanigan’s in Stuart, FL. Well worth the trip! The atmosphere was fun! Decorated in St Patty’s day style (but I am not sure if that was for the actual holiday - which was days away - or year round) is high was great! It smelled like a tavern & food as soon as we entered. Actually liked that! Our server, Mel, was great and the food was fantastic. Between the four of us, we tried their ribs, strip steak, dolphin sandwich (Mahi Mahi) and shrimp. Every plate was delicious! Beat coleslaw too! HIGHLY recommend!“

“I've gone to Maria's for years. Food is, in my opinion, fantastic... although I'm not crazy about the beets either.. the fruit is awesome.. Go to a medium small place like this on the weekend with a large group and you'll 'always' have to wait or go to McDonald's for 'fast food'. Service is, for me, very good to excellent. Now, I'm a liver and onions type of guy, well, they had the best liver and onions that I've ever had. Cooked just the way you want it, AND a huge portion! We went and it was early bird special time. We thought that the portions were going to be a little less then the regular menu....WRONG!!!! “I have been going to shrimpers for many years. This was my second bad experience. Tonight we waited for our meal for over 1 hour. We told the waitress that we were going to leave because of this. The manager then came and stated that the meal would be ready in 90 seconds because it still needed to “bake”. We were done and fed up. We told him that we were leaving and to not charge us for the meal. He did not charge us for the meal but did not apologize or show us any quality customer service. I was very disappointed. It was our mother’s birthday and we were trying to celebrate this special day with her.“
