“We don’t live in Stuart anymore but come down frequently to see family and friends. We love the Googan Coffee Shop because the coffee and cookies are amazing. It is such a welcoming place and the owners and staff make you feel like you are at home.“

Stuart coffee in downtown closed this summer and the replacement coffee place is too expensive and parking can be difficult. I Can ride my bike or walk to Carmela’s. I love that it’s spacious and family owned. And for goodness sake people, DO NOT bring your Starbucks coffee in to another coffee shop so you can enjoy the atmosphere and ambiance (all which cost money) because this is a small business (not a huge corporation). Live in the moment and try something new and you’ll be beyond pleasantly surprised. ☺️“

“I used Jessica’s catering and serving staff for my wedding 10/19/24. She did an absolutely amazing job, everyone told me how much they enjoyed the grazing table during cocktail hour. Her staff did a fantastic job providing salad/bread and bussing all at perfect timing and I received many compliments on the wonderful dinner she put together! She is also just a sweet and helpful person in general! I met Jessica while I was in the middle of pleading with a different caterer for simple demands, someone being difficult just because. Jessica was able to put together my menu and plan everything for me just a month out when I was on such a stretched budget at that point. She will work with you and find a way to create something fantastic in a way that works for you and her! She is a very creative women and is passionate about when she does and is good at it!! I am extremely grateful to have found her and have nothing but great things to say about her and her staff!!! Will absolutely be hiring her again in the future and recommending her everywhere ❤️“

“Extremely great service , but the sub had only 2 pieces of cheese , usually the minimum is 3 and we payed $22 for just this no drinks..The corn beef sandwich was great it was just lacking cheese with all the meat. If it wasn’t for that they would’ve had 5 stars. Definitely coming back again though.“

I forgot to get a photo of my boyfriend’s meal, but you can tell they care very much about quality and presentation. Very welcoming, very accommodating, and extremely affordable for the large portion sizes! If you haven’t tried it, I highly recommend!“

“I've gone to Maria's for years. Food is, in my opinion, fantastic... although I'm not crazy about the beets either.. the fruit is awesome.. Go to a medium small place like this on the weekend with a large group and you'll 'always' have to wait or go to McDonald's for 'fast food'. Service is, for me, very good to excellent. Now, I'm a liver and onions type of guy, well, they had the best liver and onions that I've ever had. Cooked just the way you want it, AND a huge portion! We went and it was early bird special time. We thought that the portions were going to be a little less then the regular menu....WRONG!!!! HUGE portions of liver, bacon, onions, beans, broccoli and asparagus along with a nice garden salad, top off with a wonderful cheesecake. 2 Thumbs up!! Going back!“

“We chose to venture off road during a southbound trip to the Everglades and went to Flanigan’s in Stuart, FL. Well worth the trip! The atmosphere was fun! Decorated in St Patty’s day style (but I am not sure if that was for the actual holiday - which was days away - or year round) is high was great! It smelled like a tavern & food as soon as we entered. Actually liked that! Our server, Mel, was great and the food was fantastic. Between the four of us, we tried their ribs, strip steak, dolphin sandwich (Mahi Mahi) and shrimp. Every plate was delicious! Beat coleslaw too! HIGHLY recommend!“

“I have been going to shrimpers for many years. This was my second bad experience. Tonight we waited for our meal for over 1 hour. We told the waitress that we were going to leave because of this. The manager then came and stated that the meal would be ready in 90 seconds because it still needed to “bake”. We were done and fed up. We told him that we were leaving and to not charge us for the meal. He did not charge us for the meal but did not apologize or show us any quality customer service. I was very disappointed. It was our mother’s birthday and we were trying to celebrate this special day with her.“
