Basil Garden of Stuart is a quaint little place and a hidden gem for authentic Thai cuisine. The exterior looks a bit unkempt and doesn't look like much from the outside, but don't let the outside fool you. The restaurant is clean and peaceful inside with dim lighting.
The food and service are most excellent. Dishes are delicious and authentic. Specific meals praised include the crab Rangoon, which appears homemade, the chicken Pad Thai, beef red curry, excellent masaman curry, pork dumplings, and pork fried rice. The peanut sauce and chicken with steamed vegetables is amazing. For dessert, the custard and rice and fried bananas are recommended. The restaurant offers many gluten free options with all of the curry and clear noodle dishes available.
Service is very nice and good, with staff answering questions and giving suggestions. The food comes out perfect. This place has been around for decades for a reason and is definitely recommended for a great experience.
