My wife had the Gran Pulpo. The octopus was rough and the only reason I did not give the restaurant 5 stars for food. Based on reviews, DELICIAS DEL PERÚ offers a mix of excellent food and frustrating service. The jalea mixta was described as "absolutely the best" and superior to other Peruvian restaurants. There is constant pressure to order more food and expensive liquor, with waiters taking away plates and cups that are still full. Despite the high cost, customers feel they are treated as "a numbers game." While the food and vibes can make one feel transported to the south of France, the focus on revenue significantly impacts the experience.
