“This is a hidden gem that shouldn't be overlooked! The outside is a little unassuming and blends in with all the businesses, marine shops, etc. The inside though is made up of an eclectic display of lush tropical plants, trees, knickknacks, exotic snacks, cookies and the like. There is outdoor seating with ample fans and overhead cover. Definitely an island vibe. I had the Jerk Chicken meat pie to start which was the best I've had. Then I tried the Hawaiian grilled cheese sandwich. Sweet bread and full of awesome flavor! I then had the mango BBQ ribs from the on site food truck. Perfect amount of smoke and sweetness and perfectly done. Washed it down with fresh squeezed mango lemonade which was refreshing and perfectly sweet! Overall this was the best meal and atmosphere in all of the Keys I've tried! So much so, I made it a point to let the cashier/host know as well as the working owner at the food truck. Highly recommend!!”

“Happened across Bongos as we were driving through the keys. A great place to stop for a beer and a quick bite. Friendly staff. Lots of beer choices. The outdoor beer garden was beautiful and great. Some outdoor games available if you're into that. They had local beers and beers from all over. Amazingly had one from my home town in Colorado! Though I went with a local IPA. Could have spent a few hours here just chilling.”

“I did takeout. Great customer service, Amazing food. I had adobo ribs with refried beans,rice and salad,sooo good. Beef soup was amazing and the chicken tostada was delish. Gotta try the Horchata a milky rice drink with cinnamon. I'll be back.”

“AMAZING!!!! Had dinner as a last minute decision, and we were completely impressed with Barracuda Grill. We all had the special, lobster scallop and shrimp linguini. Salads were great, entrees were top notch, and the staff were really friendly. Highly recommended.”

“Ice cream is rich and creamy with a ton of great diverse flavors. Fun signage and options add some variety to the aesthetic. Key lime pie is so thick and dense and the whipped topping is fresh and flavorful. Really one of the the best pies I've had in the keys. S'mores cookie was gooey and soft with the perfect ratio of marshmallow and chocolate. Cost is reasonable against portion sizes and the little shop and seating is clean and abundant. Def a must stop in marathon.”

“Wow! This restaurant, the food and the customer service were amazing! My family had been vacationing down in Marathon for about a week and we had yet to find a good restaurant. We tried out all of the other recommended places that were supposedly very delicious and we were not very impressed. They all tasted like cheap bar food. We found this restaurant just from a Google search and it had good reviews so we figured we would give it a try. It’s very hard to find a restaurant that all five people in my family can say that they loved without a shadow of a doubt, but this place is it. We tried a whole bunch of different menu items and every single thing was amazing! From the Cubans, the oxtail, the cheeseburger, the coquette and milkshakes. It was so good that we are actually considering going back tonight for dinner when we were just there today for lunch. We spoke with one of the family members that owns the restaurant and he was so great! Explained the different menu items to us when we weren’t sure what they were. I can’t say enough good things about this restaurant. Skip the big fancy chain restaurants and eat here next time you won’t regret it!”

“I've always been told "Don't judge a book by it's cover" Well you certainly can not Castaway. Driving up to the restaurant the neighborhood/area was a little iffy as well as the front of restaurant. Looks were deceiving. Once inside very nice. The menu/food was absolutely 💯 fabulous. Our waitress was very knowledgeable about items as well with recommendations. This is definitely a hidden gem. Was recommended to us by a local. Will go back hands down. ❤️ 😍”

“Tried Pop’s Smoke Shed for the first time today as they were posted up next to the Bronson barbershop and lord we did not expect what we received! Usually with food trucks you get mediocre small Togo boxes of food. The Togo boxes from Pop’s were packed full almost overflowing with such mouthwatering BBQ, my husband is one of the pickets BBQ people you’d ever meet he hardly eats it he’s so picky about it but he couldn’t stop raving over his meal. There was enough in all of our plates that my whole family all only ate half our meals and was able to put the other halves away for later! You definitely receive your bang for your buck! And we hope we see Pop’s Smoke Shed around Bronson more often! 1000/10 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”
