Let’s start by saying I’m a Jersey transplant. I was probably fed a sub (hoagie) before my first birthday. So when I tell you this is a GREAT sub, trust me, I know what I’m talking about. Let’s start with the roll. It’s usually all about the roll. In NJ/Phila it’s the iconic Amorosa rolls. Mr. C’s (Avenue) rolls make the sandwich. The thin sliced meats and cheese on the Italian sub laid overlapping in the middle of the sandwich. It wasn’t as messy as I thought...
I tried this place today for the first time, at my neighbors recommendation. Wow, my sandwich was sooo good. The sub roll was soft and tasty. I got the cold chicken and will definitely get it again! No more Publix subs for me. The owner was there and was super friendly. No seating inside but we took it to the beach. 😎 I highly recommend you try it!
One of the best subs I've had in awhile, the meat was thinly slice, the lettuce and tomatoes were well season, I would say one of the best sandwiches I had in a long time, they gained a loyal costumer. The owner is friendly and welcoming. Is a local spot for sure. Yet worth making the stop for.
