Went for the Thanksgiving dinner buffet. Sadly turned out to be a very overpriced, tasteless meal. $97 for per head for spoiled oysters and grocery store dessert is very disappointing. We were told we could not take more crab legs after taking 1 each, even though it was a buffet. Thank goodness our waiter and the wine was good otherwise we may have walked out.

I booked on Thanksgiving evening and It was not advertised as that It was a buffet. The food was not good and expensive for what it was.

Delicious turkey! Fabulous array of beautiful and tasty Thanksgiving dishes. Wait staff so kind and attentive! Did not have to ask for anything. Miguel was always there to ask what we needed. We are thankful for Calusa at Baker's Cay resort and the wonderful people who work there!

Great atmosphere for a evening date. Only downfall was the starting rolls. Bland and boring.

I made a reservation over a month ago. I purposely stayed at this resort for the last night of our vacation, celebrating our anniversary, so we could have a nice anniversary dinner. When I checked into the hotel they told me about all the restaurants and bars, and I excitedly told them I had a reservation at Calusa for that evening. My husband and I checked in and got ready for dinner, as we wanted to look a little nicer to get some anniversary photos. We showed up for our reservation and the doors were locked and someone was inside just working on a computer. Confused, we go down to the bar and they confirmed the restaurant was closed for the evening but could not give an explanation. I went to the front desk and they were apologetic but could not explain why I got a text confirmation that same day if the restaurant was closed. We were super disappointed and I think every person in the hotel was trying to eat and have drinks at the bar. We played pool for a while until the crowd died down and then had pizza and cocktails at the bar. It was good but still a very disappointing way to spend our anniversary!

This place has its act together. Great service, food, and location. Sat on an outdoor "balcony" overlooking the sunset across Florida Bay. Occasion was for my birthday, and they included a special dessert.

Food was great. View was great l. Service was slower than we had wanted. Waiter wasn't as attentive as we would have liked.

This is our second time at Calusa. The first time was about 4 years ago and we were hoping for a better experience considering the fact that it is part of the Baker's Cay resort. My husband and I both ordered the Florida Mahi with the guava glaze. The food was served in a timely manner and was the perfect temperature; however, the only thing on my plate that was seasoned was the mashed potatoes. The fish and the broccolini were completely under seasoned. I wish that there would be more fish options on the menu and other options for toppings to make the selections more savory. For 36.00 a plate, this was extremely underwhelming. In contrast, the ambience was beautiful and the restaurant overlooks the water, capturing the beautiful Florida Keys sunset. The service was good and the host was friendly and accommodating. However, if you go to the resort, I suggest eating at the Dry Rocks restaurant which is also on property. The food there was much better and more reasonably priced.

The service ambience, vibe food and weight. Staff were all amazing. We definitely go back again. We were not staying at the hotel but we made a point to see if Reviews measured up and they certainly did.

Extremely slow dinner service and the restaurant was not remotely busy. Our server was slightly rude and curt. She seemed to be in robot-mode, along with all the other staff. The atmosphere was just blah but with a great view; quite unimpressive. The kicker is, our entrées were even more disappointing than the staff and atmosphere. It was paella night so we ordered the lobster paella; the Keys are known for their lobster. The lobster was rubbery and dry. I will say this, our food was hot when it was finally served but that is the only positive thing I have to say.

Excellent but they could use some bigger or more fans on the veranda. Great place to eat but hot

This restaurant was very disappointing. There were flies everywhere and one even ended up in my water glass. The service was subpar. And serving three shrimp for $44 is absolutely ridiculous and way overpriced. Would never go back to this place and I highly recommend you not taking a chance on it. There are plenty of other good restaurants to go to down here. No one liked their meal out of 4 people with different entrees.

Beautiful place. Everyone that works at the restaurant and the hotel are so incredibly nice. Such hard workers, but always with a smile. We were able to see the beautiful sunset. We all loved the food, except for me. I got the paella, which would have almost been perfect if it wasn't over salted. That's my only complaint. Everything else was fantastic. Also—just a word of caution—if you're like me and mosquitoes love you—please wear some sort of bug spray if you sit outside. Not just here, basically all of Florida

The sunset terrace at Calusa is worth a visit. The service & hospitality is better than best! 150% amazing. The food is good, we enjoyed the fish dip and the whole fried fish was wonderful. The scallops were good as well. The hummus was different, not my favorite but not bad.
