Honest review: decent rooms. Waterfront is barely any added value. Floors were dirty. On site bar and restaurant was pricey and not good. Breakfast was better than expected, friendly hostess. There was no water all morning on our checkout. Front office young lady didn't want to hear anything about a refund. They got all these extensive policies with fines, but if they don't deliver the basics, you can fk off. Not worth the money.

My boyfriend and I went to gilberts to eat and was very disappointed. Hardly no one there and the service was so bad. The waiter only came to our table maybe 3 or 4 times while we was there, then had to ask 6 times to get our check so we could leave.
I've been coming to Gilbert's for at least 20 years. Went there with my girlfriends a couple of weeks ago and had a terrible experience! We got up to go take a look at the boats and came across the rudest employee I have ever witnessed in a service industry. His name is Carlos and claims to be the manager there. Was rude to my friends, but I noticed he was being rude to everyone...so we didn't take it personally. Just this sense of superiority, I guess. Like I said, I didn't take it personally, but it did ruin the mood in an otherwise pleasant lunch.

I come here for a day trip. I love coming here and always recommend. It is right outside the keys, so you can get a taste of the keys without having to go all the way. Has a mini beach with fences around it so it is perfect for the kids to play around and You can relax while watching them with their beach view tables. there is a dock so you can either drive there or take a boat there if you have a boat in the keys. I always recommend this location to anybody who is visiting and always take any of my visitors to this location. Amazing would recommend.

Went for a family meal today 9 people
Food and drinks: Went to Gilberts on a recommendation. Totally disappointed it took over 1 hour 30 mins to get the drinks.after reminding our server multiple times. When food was delivered over a 20 min period leaving many people not eating at same time. To find out 5 of the 9 meals were cold and when I say cold I mean cold.we agreed to send two of them back which we waited 30 mins more. To receive cold meals again. We refused them as its so not exceptable. Very very unhappy spoiled the entire day. Definitely won't be going again.
The location is beautiful shame about the service.

The ambiance seems quite nice here at Gilbert’s and the staff seems friendly…. However in our last family meal together this afternoon our experience was not great! My husband, Daughter and Uncle received all cold food not once but twice. We had to remind our server multiple times for our drinks as we didn’t receive them in a timely fashion. The drinks arrived 1 1/2 hours after our arrivals to Gilbert’s. Our food arrived before our drinks did. We didn’t have a largest table (9 of us) there was a table of 12 that arrived after we did and they all had their drinks prior to their food arriving and received all their entrees together and were able to eat as a family. So, I’m guessing they may have had a better experience than us. Maybe it was an off day for the restaurant but still completely unacceptable!!!
