We ate here for breakfast and dinner and it was absolutely delicious! Service was great! They gave us mimosas to celebrate our anniversary too. I have to say the drinks here are generous. Dinner was absolutely delicious too! They gave us bread before our dinner came out and it was so fresh and tasty. The food was done with quality ingredients. At least everything we had here was very good. We recommend it and will be back again.

it took almost an hour for them to serve the food. on top of that the steak was raw.
We stayed at the Playa Largo resort for 10 nights in early December. Each morning we had the breakfast buffet, which was one of the most comprehensive and best breakfast buffets we ever had. Service was extraordinary. Among our fantastic servers were Paul, Greg, Winsome and Judith. And each morning Fritz made amazing omelettes that he personally delivered to the table.
The ambiance both inside and on the patio outside is very nice. We really enjoyed each breakfast. 5 stars for food, service, and atmosphere.
Dinner, unfortunately, was a different story, which is why we had dinner here only twice. The first time we ordered chicken parm, which had a nice sauce but chicken that was very tough to chew, and center cut salmon, which was prepared nicely. However the second time the salmon was a tail cut and just didn't taste right. The pepperoni pizza was tasty, though nothing like what we get at home in NJ. 5 stars for service and atmosphere, but 3 for food.
Bottom line: A wonderful place for breakfast, but not the best for dinner.
I can't thank YOLY enough...my wife and I were strolling on the beautiful grounds of playa largo early morning and walked right into the most welcoming person we have ever encountered. We were underdressed (what we thought) and Yoly seen us and demanded that we come in for breakfast. We were hesitant but she insisted and even offered to pay for our meal. What she didn't know was it was my birthday and she mad my day start off beautifully!!! Not only did she pay for our meal, she also sent a birthday surprise which was a delicious cake to our suite that evening. I can't thank her enough for how she made my wife and I feel on my birthday, if you ever in key largo and want to stay somewhere where they make you feel like family, get to playa largo resort and spa. Thanks again Yoly we will definitely be back ❤️

I had an experience the other night that made me understand why this place has an average 3.8-star rating. The atmosphere was nice, but that doesn't really matter when you can't get any service. We were seated by what I assume was a hostess, but she didn't say much. There was a party of 5-6 people waiting for a table behind us, and there were dirty tables everywhere, which is always a bad sign. There was only one waitress working for the entire restaurant. We sat for about 10-15 minutes with absolutely no service – no water, not even a welcome. We left, and on the way out, we noticed the one waitress taking orders from the larger party that was seated after us. It seems like they prioritize based on the size of the bill.
While staying at the resort we went down for breakfast. Opted not to do the buffet and ended up enjoying amazing breakfast tacos and a breakfast Cuban sandwich. Amazing.

Very pretty restaurant. I did have an issue that the resort fixed but want to note here- I would keep a copy of your receipt and maybe not share your room # when you sit down. I had a whole issue with someone else in the restaurant charging their meal to our room. I paid for our check via credit card but we said our room number out loud when the server came to the table, and either someone heard it and wrote it down OR it just got associated with our room incorrectly. Either way the front desk staff at Playa Largo did deal with it appropriately since I had taken a picture of my real receipt. So I am thankful that the front desk handled it for us and it was just a random thing that happened I’m sure. The front desk is very friendly.
Parking: Parking is for the Playa Largo resort, so valet is a $30/day charge or self parking is $25/day
Kid-friendliness: They have a good kids menu

From the mixed bag of reviews I can see the consistency might be an issue. There’s either a 5 star or a 1 star there is no in between. Our experience; came in party of 4 on a Sunday evening and the service from the start was nonexistent. Requested silverware at least three times before getting any to turning off part of the lights before we finished eating.Food; Cold stale breed with a “garlic and parley paste” that left much to be desired. Food wasn’t fresh whatsoever and made two of the four people in our group sick. They say don’t judge a book by its cover and this place is a prime example very pretty but that’s about it.

We were a family of 8 , our server was Akshay and he was really sweet . Food wasn’t amazing but it was fine , we had minor mistakes with hour food , it was cold specially our kids meals . But we can’t thank enough Nicole the manager , she took care of us even send us really cute fruit platters to our room as a surprise, we weren’t expecting it . We came all the way down from Boston and we were really happy with our service and how attentive they are . The ac in our room was extremely cold but beside that everything went fine .

The menus has something for everyone, so you'll find something to like. Our group of five tried the bruschetta, house and Carsar salads, steak, swordfish, grouper, and chicken. No complaints and it all got eaten. The service was . . .sweet. So much effort, I felt they could have served me horse manure and I'd have said I loved it. Martini was decent.

Chef Rob personally created a special fish “hook n cook” meal for us on the last night and also a few other meals of our greg catch. I cannot express the genuine gratitude of the presentation and hard work that went into our meal. Amazing. Very personable. Very gracious. The Peruvian shrimp ceviche was so good and flavorful. Thanks Chef Rob!
