We’re still getting texts and messages from guests saying it was some of the best food they’ve ever had at a wedding—or anywhere. Working with Melissa was a total dream. She was kind, professional, and incredibly attentive throughout the planning process. During our tasting, we had a small request to tweak one menu item to make it feel a bit more “us”—within 10 minutes they came back with an alternate version that was not only exactly what we were hoping for, but somehow even better than the original. Their flexibility and creativity blew us away. Another major win: the bar was included in the overall package, which made the decision a total no-brainer. The drinks were just as top-notch as the food, and the service all around was flawless. We were a little concerned at first that a full sit-down dinner might eat into our reception and dancing time—but those fears were quickly put to rest. The team was so organized and efficient, the evening flowed beautifully. Everyone had plenty of time to enjoy the meal without ever feeling rushed, and we still got to dance the night away just like we hoped. Truly, our only complaint is that Great Events Catering doesn’t have a storefront restaurant—because we would absolutely go back every time we visit Key West. We miss that food already! We couldn’t be happier with our experience and would recommend them to anyone who wants amazing food, seamless service, and a team that genuinely cares about making your wedding unforgettable.

Even at the cocktail hour, the servers kept making sure both of us had enough appetizers and drinks while we were taking photos (greatly appreciated). The dinner was absolutely delicious as well. I was out of town for family emergency until the day of our home event for 45 people. I literally flew in and house and food was perfect. My husband was in awe of how seamless it all was and all of our guests said it was the best event yet of the series! They manage all deliveries of chairs, set up and bar. They even prepped by garage so my kitchen. remained spotless! Genius.Chef Dave and his culinary team are spectacular! People ask about cost and I remind them ‘you get what you pay for!’. In this case, for a 6:30-8p event I did not want a seated dinner but feel strongly people have plenty food. Chef Dave brilliantly suggested both heavy passed apps but added a poke station that was a smashing success!! My one regret is I forgot to ask for a few meals packed up to enjoy after everyone lefts Our food was 100 gone. Chefs count was perfection with. zero waste. If there were any option to leave 10+ stars, we would. From working with Melissa in planning to execution and delivery the GE team was absolutely beyond. Out of 63 guests at our wedding, almost all of them shared how absolutely amazing the food was (we offered fresh Mahi and Short Rib) and how attentive and FUN the staff were throughout the evening- even bustin' a move when they brought out the hors d' oeuvre's or were clearing empty glasses as we tore up the dance floor. It was above and beyond our expectations. It would have been helpful if we got the food we asked for, also.Service on the day-of: four stars. The staff on-site was great. Food was not good from the start of the tasting. They said they would accommodate changes but never did and served dishes I never picked. This company doesn’t treat clients very well in my opinion and openly talks poorly about clients. Do not hire for a wedding unless you want added stress and desire to give $$$ away. Don’t be fooled by the convenience of “sister company” Great Events Catering and Simply You Planners. Those two vendors caused and perpetuated all the problems for my wedding with no accountability.
