The squid appetizer mediocre. the steak was buried in to much thyme for my tastes. The mofongo was interesting and the highlightI would probably go somewhere else to try latin cuisine.
My husband and I visited Caney's last night and thoroughly enjoyed the Dominican food, the music, and the service.We shared the Mofongo con Camerones al Ajillo. Mofongos have a base made from plantains, that's essentially like a cornbread dressing, topped with the meat and sauce of your choice. We also had the Cassava fried queso-- so yum! Cocktails were great, too.The two ladies who took care of us were super friendly and outgoing. Very hospitable!
