Golden Krust Caribbean Restaurant

I ordered two ackee and salt fish breakfast plates. I was concerned that for the price ($35) the portions were not as much as usual and the food looked overcooked and dried out. I buy this dish often and that food should have never been sold to anyone in such poor quality. I returned to the store to ask for a refund and was denied as there are no refunds. Ok I accepted that but I was not offered any other alternative. I was told by the owner that ackee is expensive and she’s not gonna take a loss by offering me something in exchange. Other disappointing things were said but ultimately no accountability in this situation when she saw for herself that the food should not have been served to anyone at any cost.

The food has absolutely no taste. I bought two oxtails and I was so disappointed and the portion is very small and overpriced. The cabbage is terrible. There no love in their cooking. I will not return to this place. This is embarrassing to call Jamaican food as I'am Jamaican. The problems people complaining about they haven’t made changes from tons of complaints from customer reviews.

I have not been to Golden Krust in a while and today was a reminder of why. I ordered a fish meal and got home to realize it must have been made a few days ago because it was dryer than a desert. Super disappointed. Definitely will not be going back.

The food is so bad here. And the service even worst. The girl billed me for one thing and tried to give me something else, probably should have taken that.... may have tasted better.

SHE HAS MANY BAD REVIEWS FOR A REASON !!!! Go to BANNO BOYS ACROSS the STREET !!!! Way better food and service plus they’re cheaper

This is NOT Caribbean food !! the women who cooks is rude, when you ask her why the food have no taste, rice burnt, dumplings hard and stale, she give you attitude about how she cook fresh 😒 mam no !! This isn’t the first time I had their nasty food either, usually I get the cow foot soup and add spices at home but she went up to $16-18 for soup.
Now she charge $2+ for plantain that should be with the meal. Again she has excuses, talking bout the price of plantain went up 🤨 no it didn’t !!! 3 pieces of sweet plantain for almost $3 is crazy !!!!

If I could give it 0 stars I would. They need to stop advertising as Caribbean restaurant. The fried chicken was extremely dry, almost dry as the cooks skin. The stew chicken was tasteless and horrible. The rice and peas I don't know what that was. Not to mention the cabbage, just horrible and tastless. The needs to learn what seasonings are. They need to shut down and the cook needs to go on worst cooks in America because they need to learn how to cook real food. That food was so bad my dog didn't want to eat it. Don't waste your money here you're better off going to McDonald's.

As a proud supporter of Caribbean businesses, I was disappointed to encounter subpar customer service and food quality at this establishment. Upon entering with my family, we were not greeted by the owner or employee, who were engaged in a conversation across the room from each other. the boss was sitting in the dining area, and the employee was standing behind the counter. Whom kept a conversation going, even while customers entered.The owner's priorities seemed to lie in showcasing ownership rather than demonstrating management or customer service skills. Furthermore, the Jamaican patties we ordered were underwhelming, particularly the vegetarian options, which consisted of either solely spinach or a meager mixed vegetable filling. This experience left me extremely disappointed in this establishment. The food is definitely not worth the money! Two vegetarian patties came up to $9, and 4 chicken patties came up to $16! That’s absurd! I never anticipated paying so much for the worst patties I would ever eat in my whole life.

You could taste the sourness in the rice..... whoever is reading this..do yourselves a favor and ask them WHEN was the food prepared... that being said what is with that would woman at the front...she asks a question and then tries to anticipate what you're going to say before you say it ... lady stop being weird!....if you ask the patron a question just be quiet and let them respond...stop trying to talk over them geez it's annoying.🤦🏽

Today, I treated myself to Curry Chicken with rice and peas, accompanied by boiled cabbage for lunch at Golden Krust Caribbean Cuisine. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal, which was cooked to perfection. The staff member who prepared it was polite and friendly. Although I typically dine in, I opted for a takeaway this time since I was running late. Finding a vacant spot in the shared car park can be challenging during peak times. However, it was not a problem for me today as I travelled on my electric scooter.

Trying to support local business but this place has gone down. How is this jamaican food and they don't have no hot sauce or pepper sauce? The food taste like they putting half the ingredients needed. The soup watery. The food don't taste good no more. The cashier/server attitude is awful. Sad.
