Awesome pool at the Gaylord Palms resort and convention center however the bartender Luke was absolutely awful. Went to the bar twice asking for his recommendation on drinks and was met with rudeness both times saying whatever you like. Gaylord palms is amazing and it’s sad they have people like Luke ruining the experience. I will come back as server Ryan was great. And would still recommend stopping in and giving them a shot.

Surprisingly excellent food for the quick sandbar experience it is. I enjoyed great service sitting at the bar, a delish fish sandwich and tasty spicy marg. The only grossness was that the bar wasn’t super wiped down and bees were flying everywhere trying to get to the sugary marg machines. Anyway, great experience and would come back.

This was our family's first trip to Anna Maria Island. My brother found this restaurant in a tourist book. The dishes we tried were the Red Snapper, Skirt Steak, Salmon, and Bacon Cheeseburger. Red Snapper was a little disappointing as it lacked flavor. Salmon wasn't cooked as we would have liked however, Aaron was quick to take it back. He brought us a whole new plate with Salmon cooked perfectly as requested! Our Skirt steak dishes were delicious! Potatoes and collar greens were very flavorful. Cheeseburger was sweet and savory. Aaron's service was over the top. His pleasant, friendly disposition was authentic. He was very attentive to us. Manager came by our table to check on us. We also visited souvenir shop. Prices were a little high but displays were visually appealing. The cashier was very sweet and friendly. I suggest going for early dinner if you're wanting to avoid a crowd. We would definitely come back when back on the island.

Pool adjacent bar. Totally adequate. Not sure if they have servers running to poolside or not because every single time we went to the pools, they closed because of rain/weather. So, Sandbar is a great refuge for waiting out the daily pop-up storms.We tried a watermelon-cucumber-vodka drink. We watch the bartender make them and let me tell you, they were some mighty strong drinks. Don't know how many oz. of Tito's but it tasted like a LOT!

Heather is rude and not friendly at all. My daughter twisted her ankle on one of the slides. She was holding a table for her guests from one of the cabana's because of the thunderstorms and we waited 15 mins to see her guests arrived and they eventually showed up. They had no idea that a table was on hold for them. Heather just told them to sit down at that table. If Heather is your server I would highly recommend asking for another server. Even the manager backed her up. I recommend my server Hazel and Ali who was accommodating.

Love coming to the Gaylord. We come 2-4 times a year usually in the Spring, Summer and then in November for Ice. We enjoy the food at the hotel. Today we hit the pool and enjoyed lunch at the Sandbar. I highly recommend the salads. They are always fresh and delicious. Watch out for the dive bombing birds that hunt around the big pool.
Fast service! The server was attentive.Delicious drinks.The appetizers work.Amihan just had me come back to edit and add the 5th star because of her excellent service. We had no plans to order more food, or beverages, but she continued to tend to us to make sure we were hydrated. 5 stars for service.

We had such a relaxing, wonderful lunch and time here on February 17th! The scenery was absolutely gorgeous especially when the weather was as great as it was that day. The service and food was great.

The quesadillas were really good. We also ordered the fish sandwich which came with an enormous blackened fillet. We replaced the chips for fries but the kitchen forgot and we ended up getting chips and fries- win win situation! Service was good- our serve Ali was very friendly and welcoming! You can order poolside or sit at the restaurant right by the pool.

Pool bar located inside GayLord Palms. Large bar and covered seating area — as well as delivery and food service to your chairs poolside. Full food/bar. Decent pricing considering you’re inside a nice hotel. Staff has been really great each time we’ve gone.Always grab us a couple pina colada’s with toppers to start with!

Great service even poolside, Jay was our server definitely deserves a raise. Jay goes out and beyond for perfect customer service. Jay always came back around to our cabana consistently as well to others. We were here last weekend and had him as our server., We were here this past weekend and this time we made sure to request for him before coming. Everyone there is great but when you have amazing customer service you come back even more due to the quality of service received. Thank you Jay for not only working in this crazy heat but managing all customers and making sure everything and everyone was good.????
