Such a rude owner and staff. Pizza was ok, but not ny style I’m familiar with. Very floppy crust, sauce tastes canned, very skimpy on toppings. We won’t return.

And the eggplant parm is outstanding too
We have been a longtime customer and drive 40 mins to eat here all the time. Came in tonight at 8:20pm and server said they were closed. I told them it said 9pm for Fridays online and she said he decided to close early. What a joke. They told us and another patron they wouldn’t serve us. There were plenty of people in there so it wasn’t a slow night. And best part is we drove by 10 mins later and the a-frame sign that says “open” was still by the road. Mr Sammy's Pizza is a great spot in Lake Placid with a super cozy and friendly environment. It is hands down the best NY style pizza, with perfect crust and cheese. The menu has delicious items like great pizza, great salad, and YUM breadsticks. Specific favorites include the white sauce pizza, the simple pepperoni pie, and the lunch special of a 1/2 sausage sandwich with garlic parmesan fries. The homemade marinara sauce and homemade tiramisu are also to die for. The service is excellent and spot on, with awesome people. It is a go-to spot for Italian cuisine, offering a very good experience with a great atmosphere. Many say it is their new favorite place and they will be back again and again.
