TWICE BUTTER is a great little local gem in Lake Placid serving outstanding and very good food. The menu is great and full for all ages, featuring all made in-house, fresh, and delicious items. Specific meals include the soup and 1/2 sandwich lunch special, a huge serving of chicken tenders, and a great Philly Cheese Steak Pizza. For breakfast, the breakfast burrito is delicious and recommended. Burgers are a highlight, with the $20 Wagu Beef Burger and the Hollywood Burger—topped with an egg and guacamole—noted as incredible, with perfectly seasoned, juicy beef. The beef brisket on brioche bun and the Cuban are also as good as any. Prices are really reasonable, very fair, and well worth it, with two people eating for under $30.

The atmosphere is warm and welcoming but could use a little more TLC to soften up the diner look, though it features a full bar. The staff and service are super friendly, fast, and impressive, doing a great job even with large groups. It is a place that makes you want to come back and try everything, though some wish it were open on Christmas Eve.
