Special shoutout to Brandon in the kitchen who knows my mom loves the Athenian White fish and goes out of his way to make it for her, whenever we ask about it. It’s small gestures like these that make a big impact.

Like many others we’ve noticed a change since new owners have arrived. Many of our favored waitresses are no longer there. My family has been going to Family for 20+ years, this restaurant with Frank, his wife, son and Chris, got my mom and I through my dads horrible Gliblastoma diagnosis and death. They were always there with soup, tea, hugs, and just support. Several waitresses went out to see my dad when he was too sick to come it, he loved that support. Those people are all gone now, left as the business has changed. Don’t get me wrong, we’ve met new staff, and some still immediately know that we drink unsweetened tea, and have it at the ready. To those people I say thank you for continuing to be the people that make The Lake Wales Family Restaurant, a family. To those that are new, Owners and staff learn from these people, they are the backbone of your restaurant. You need them more than you may realize.

Always enjoy food. Seated as quickly as possibly as wait time can vary on time you arrive. Some of the tables need repaired/updated. Otherwise clean place to eat. Eat here frequently and never had any sanitation issues.

Awesome portions for the price. You don’t find that much anymore. Delicious as well. Our server Ciera with a C was great as well. We can tell she works hard and has great tableside manor.

Biscuits and gravy were great as well as country fried steak. Everything looked clean and staff was friendly. Food was reasonably priced.I will be going back again to try more from their menu.

We are visiting from out of town and found this great local restaurant online. Our server, Amber C was just a sweetheart- she took really great care of my Dad and I! She genuinely wanted us to have a super experience and we did. The food was delish and all of her suggestions outstanding. We will definitely be back and we will ask for Amber— as she went above and beyond…. Made us feel like family! Thank you!!!!
