“My husband and I went to the Cheese Shop and Deli for the first time. We had the best sandwiches. I had the turkey and cheese Panini on marble rye and my husband had the Cuban sandwich. The staff was so friendly and Grace, the owner, came out to each table to speak to the customers. A great local place for some great food. I think we found our new favorite sandwich shop.”

“So I have been hearing about how good this places food is for over 6 months. Its about 15min from my work well I finally had some time to get down there and give them a shot. “The wife and I are always looking for new Thai restaurants,throw in Lao food and you have a winning quinella. Super friendly owner. Food is wonderful. Started with the Tom Kah Kai soup. Fragrant coconut broth with lemongrass. Loaded with chicken and mushrooms. The summer rolls were fresh and packed with herbs and rice noodles,served with peanut sauce. The wife opted for the Massaman chicken. Fresh and hot off the stove,lots of chicken,potatoes and carrots in a flavorful broth. I went for the Kua Mee Lao. Stir fried noodles in a caramelized sauce topped with shredded egg,bean sprouts, cilantro, and scallions. Both dishes were outstanding and sharable portions. We ordered the mango purple sticky rice with coconut cream to go.
It's probably a good thing. When we got home and opened it, there awaited a huge portion of some of the absolute BEST sticky rice with mango that either of us has tasted. This wa
s the crowning glory to a wonderful meal. If you like Thai give this gem a try.”

“Our food was great and server Abby was spot on. I was disappointed that not one but two of our VooDoo buckets did not have alcohol in them. I thought the taste was off but didn’t realize why until we left and I felt unfazed by the drink. Within the appropriate time, a calibrated Breathalyzer was used once we left the restaurant determined both drinks were non-alcoholic, yet we were still charged for the $13 drink that would normally contain alcohol. Very disappointing.”

“Tried out a new place for dinner with friends n lake wales. The service was good! The dining area is large to accommodate families or groups of friends! BOGO margaritas 🍹 were spot on! The chicken fajitas were sizzling hot with grilled veggies and another plate full of the fixings! CHIPS AND FRESH SALSA are complimentary as well as yummy. Would recommend”

“I absolutely love Haitian food because it instantly takes me back south to Little Haiti! The dishes here are really tasty, with generous portions that aren’t overwhelming. I especially love the green plantains and the griot!!

One thing to keep in mind is the pricing and service. When you meet the chef, he’s incredibly welcoming and friendly, which makes the experience even better. The lady who helps him seems a bit more reserved, but that didn’t take away from the meal.

Also, I would recommend asking about prices before ordering. Some items are considered add-ons, and a few prices can change, so it’s helpful to clarify ahead of time. Overall, a great spot for delicious Haitian food in Lake Wales!”

“This place is an absolute gem! It was delicious and authentic Mexican food all around. We at a quesabirria (20/10😆) Asada quesadilla (20/10) and the most delicious torta in literally my life. The owner is also an amazing human being and was so kind which makes me even happier that his food is so incredible. The amount of meat and juicy flavors were just phenomenal. If I didn’t live an hour away I would come here every day instead of cooking at home. I want this food truck to cater my life. You should try it.”

“Warm welcome feeling as soon as I entered. The juices were great and the service was excellent. I ordered a brown sugar boba tea and ended up getting drinking it all and get another. It was excellent. My husband ordered a frappe and I was great also.”

“I lived in Lake Wales for over twenty years and I love Al’s Place the friendliest bar in town, remind me of the old tv show “Cheers “ when everyone knows your name. The beer is cold, the food delicious and they give you plenty. On your first trip there you will get initiated with the yardstick and become a member of the family group. My son and daughter got me back in Pennsylvania as I age to see that I have proper care, but promise me every so often the would bring me back to Lake Wales to visit all my old friend. Looking forward to February at when they celebrate the the holiday Mardi Gras and have a great time with all my old friends…..It’s a pleasure…Thank You.”

“Tried a new spot today! There’s a cute little diner off Highway 60, not too far from where I live. I decided to check it out after my son raved about it, so my other son and I gave it a try today. I had grits, bacon, toast, and coffee. The food wasn’t bad at all. It was a classic diner style breakfast, but I will say it was a little pricey for just the two of us.

Still, the location is super convenient, and the place has a nice, cozy vibe. I might give it another visit sometime soon just because it’s close by and has that small town charm.”

“Low key and casual food stand. Everything was really tasty; we’ve been hard up for good Mexican food in other places in Florida so this was an excellent place to visit! Prices are not necessarily cheap, but the quality is great and the portions make it worthwhile.

The Google Maps location is a second location, and the busier location is in the middle of the flea market. We ordered the carne asada chilaquiles, a bowl of menudo, a lengua taco, and two agua frescas.”

“Marco's delivered a pizza big enough for my whole family to be filled in under 20 minutes delivery time. The pizza was gone almost instantly. The value there is high due to the delivery time, taste and quality of pizza. I've never only eaten Marco's Pizza at home, so I don't know what the atmosphere is like closer to their kitchen”

“My mom saw the food truck while heading home and ordered the Taco platter, which comes with 3 Tacos and Rice and beans. The flavor of the rice was amazing and the beans were also delicious. The Tacos were delicious too, since I didn't order the food, I wish they added a little more onions and the cheese in the beans was a great addition too.”

“Me and my daughter want it to try this place a while a go we finally did and so disappointing!!:the sushi where literally made for kid that's how small they where and actually there not cheap . We also ordered the dynamite roll wich is one of the signatures and suppose to be one of their best one , but to start with the description doesn't have any egg and the topping was egg made literally in a microwave honestly I didn't even try it since I returned was 16.95 for it.Naaa... We had also ordered Booba teas and our order was to go and had to wait 20!-25 mnts ..And the boba where done in less than. 3 mnts so we ask the lady to with put them on a freezer , well she took the ice out and gave us in the same drink. which I didn't wasnt a qualuty costumer service..JUST LIKE that unbelievable...I can say the lady was very nice and Friendly but the management or owners must get in top of a sushi chef and also get a different strategy for to go orders... We end up buying sushi in other place!!!”

We ✍️ordered a round of 🥤drinks and gave the crotch 🧌🧟goblins time to 🤔make up their 🧠minds on what they wanted to 🍴🧃eat. We ✍️ordered some chips and 🌶️salsa! The 🌶️salsa is tasty and has just the 🤏right amount of 🌶️spicy for 🤌everyone at the table. The 🌪️fournado ordered the mac n 🧀cheese with 🍚rice, while the 7️⃣going on 1️⃣1️⃣ year old ordered ♨️grilled 🧀cheese and celery sticks. The 😍babelicious, 🔥hawt 👰‍♀️wife ordered the 🚫🦴boneless 🐓wing basket tossed in mild sauce, with a ✌️double side of curly 🍟fries while her 🧓🏻elderly, decrepit old 🚹man ordered a traditional 🐓wing basket with curly 🍟fries and cole slaw. Mine were a 🤌dry rub of Cajun Ranch. 😋 The 🐓wings were 😳HUGE (especially by today’s standards) and 😋delicious!! The 🍟fries were good and the cole slaw has a 🤩sweetness to it that was enjoyable! The ♨️grilled 🧀cheese was a hit with the 🐒crumb snatcher 4000 🙄(who didn’t order it) while 🦍grumpy 👖pants decided that the real 🧀cheese they used wasn’t to his liking. 🫤 🫢Trying to get a 🥄sample of the mac n 🧀cheese from the 🌪️fournado would be a 🚫❗️violation of the ⛑️safety clause in my life insurance policy, sooo… it l👀ked good!?! All in all, it was a 🙌great experience that met the 🙀pangs we were having for 🐓wings!
