“I lived in Lake Wales for over twenty years and I love Al’s Place the friendliest bar in town, remind me of the old tv show “Cheers “ when everyone knows your name. The beer is cold, the food delicious and they give you plenty. On your first trip there you will get initiated with the yardstick and become a member of the family group. My son and daughter got me back in Pennsylvania as I age to see that I have proper care, but promise me every so often the would bring me back to Lake Wales to visit all my old friend. Looking forward to February at when they celebrate the the holiday Mardi Gras and have a great time with all my old friends…..It’s a pleasure…Thank You.“

“We had dinner with my parents last night. They drove down from DeLand so we could have dinner here. They used to live in Dundee and miss going there. My father and I both had steak. I had top sirloin and he had the fillet. My wife had Haddock stuffed with crab meat. Mom just had shrimp cocktail. Everything was cooked exactly how we asked for and was scrumptious! Our server, Angie was absolutely incredible! She was more than tentative and we really hit it off great with her. She had a great personality and sense of humor. Can't wait for our next visit! “This is a great little diner. We enjoyed breakfast previously and wanted to go back to try their lunch. The service is always very friendly, efficient and prompt. The food is delicious. Hubby had their burger melt and said it was one of the best he'd ever had. I had the catfish fingers which were huge; more like fillets. Highly recommend for a good, quick bite to eat that is also very affordably priced. They usually only do breakfast and lunch, but they also now offer an all you can eat fish fry on Friday night.“

This places' quality of the food is second to none in the area and their Cuban sandwich taste better than the ones that I have in Miami. Their customer service is great and their staff is very attentive. Even when there's natural disasters they Go above and beyond to help all the local residents to make sure that everybody's taking care of. They definitely give back to the community 100%. “Went with a group of 14 a few weeks back. We called ahead to let them know and got there right when they opened at 4. We had one server for the entire table, and she was amazing. From drinks to dessert, everything ordered was delicious. One of the best restaurants here in Lake Wales.“

“My kids and I eat here all the time, it’s definitely my go to place when I want a good burger! lol but for the first time I brought my dog with my kids and I as well! The service was great and the server brought my dog a bowl of water right away! She got her order right in and the food right out and it was perfect as ordered! I come here often and get the chips and I do notice that often the chips are overdone a bit, but I don’t mind because I still like them toasty and when my daughter gets curly fries they are always very good but they’re usually broken up a bit and not like they were tonight! Tonight they were completely awesome! Almost every single fry was a complete curly fry and bouncy and lots of fun! And my chips were cooked perfectly! And season nicely as well! so whoever is the fry is doing a great job! The waitress said that they have been there about a week and I told them to please let them know that you’re doing awesome! We will be back again soon“

“Great food and service each time we have gone there. Only complaint was got too cold in there, but it is much better now. I used to warn my family members to wear a sweater or jacket each time. But the last few times we went and it was much better. I would have something warm to throw on to be prepared either way.“
