The flavor was amazing almost like your abuelita made them from the isla. They were soft and full of meat! “Great lounge to have a bite and a drink. Honestly, I only have been here on the weekends. On Friday and Saturday nights, it's always a great time. You typically find a puerto rican crowd with a blend of island music played by the DJ that is from a popular radio station. They have a good dance floor, a pool table and they host pay per view fights and sports on their dollar not charging a dime. This is a very underrated place. Prices are great as well and the food is actually very good, love the alcapurrias. Hoy se bebeee.“

“The appetizers are all amazing. She recommended the fried jalepenos and they were sooooo good. Not spicy but full of flavor. The nachos with beef were great, the cheese curds were so good. The food was ok. Mashed potatoes were definitely instant. the steaks were lackluster and thin. probably more like a 5 ounce ribeye than 8. Just lacked flavor. My husband liked his chicken fried chicken. The brown gravy needs work. I don't think that was homemade. Tasted jarred. The collard greens were excellent with the special pepper vinegar they have. The boys didn't like their food. They ordered a wrap, a mushroom swiss burger and bbq. My daughter loved her chicken and my son's hot dog was huge. The prices were really high for what you get. The apps are worth it, though. We stopped here because as usual, Cherry Pocket was slammed. Gotta get there early. The lady who waited on us was a bit abrupt towards my son for not speaking loud enough. She fussed at him. He is 16 and had a brain injury when he was younger. He cannot speak louder. We actually almost walked out because of her attitude towards him. She even looked at him and was like um no you weren't. The place is loud, anyway. We probably will not be back. But again, the apps are good.“

“I lived in Lake Wales for over twenty years and I love Al’s Place the friendliest bar in town, remind me of the old tv show “Cheers “ when everyone knows your name. The beer is cold, the food delicious and they give you plenty. On your first trip there you will get initiated with the yardstick and become a member of the family group. My son and daughter got me back in Pennsylvania as I age to see that I have proper care, but promise me every so often the would bring me back to Lake Wales to visit all my old friend. Looking forward to February at when they celebrate the the holiday Mardi Gras and have a great time with all my old friends…..It’s a pleasure…Thank You.“

“This was hands down the best barbecue/soul food I’ve had in a long time. The wings are perfectly crispy but slightly smoky and I’m not sure the sauce but it’s a good balance of heat and sweet. The bbq chicken was moist but still had a great smoke and the sauce paired was excellent. The sides though are a show stopper, we went back for extra greens because they reminded us of our grandmother. My husband that doesn’t like beans loved these. And the Mac and cheese…. So gooey and just delicious. My wallet might be in danger. 🤣“

“Absolutely adorable! Love the ambiance. Very chill vibes tonight. Charles is an A1 employee for sure. He helped me over the phone when the awful AI system failed when placing my order (please reconsider that as an option because I almost hung up because of it). Not only that, he made me smile while placing my order and offered suggestions to tasty dishes since this was my first time trying this place. Upon arrival to pick up my order, he was welcoming and efficient. I will return because of Charles!! I hope all the employees are as charismatic!

“My wife and I enjoy eating at Culver’s, but I’ve recently had a couple of disappointments. We have been purchasing the pints of ice cream in their freezer to take home with us, only to be very disappointed when the ice cream inside is nothing like what it’s supposed to be.An example, my chocolate volcano was supposed to have different things in it , but when I ate it, there was nothing but chocolate custard in it no little M&M’s no chocolate pieces no cake no cookies no nothing. I I talked to one of the employees and explained everything and she was very polite and acted like I would maybe get a another one to replace it for free but once she went back to talk to the manager, he said no.. I was very disappointing especially when pints are like six dollars each. From now on My Wife and I will buy our ice cream at either Walmart or Publix . It’s a lot less expensive and you actually get what you pay for.“

Nice atmosphere and everything is always tasty.Waitstaff is nice, but can be all over the place. We've had long waits without menus, not removing ingredients when asked, food delivered to wrong tables, etc.No blender at the bar, so don't expect any tropical drinks.“

“We ate here tonight after a long and satisfying day at Legoland with our kids. The food was on point. (Deluxe double burger and kids meals with vanilla and carmel pecan custards). I needed to specifically highlight the staff, who were super kind and patient with us and our small children; none of us knew the menu well, and they took time to answer our rookie questions without showing any impatience, esp on new year's eve a couple hours before closing. I wanted to also specifically highlight the black man who worked the counter tonight and took our order; he acted like he genuinely cared and took pride in what he does- I am sorry I dont remember his name, but he was fantastic in every way. I should have tipped him (I know tipping isn't required) and now I regret not. But the food, service, and cleanliness were all excellent. Thanks for making our last meal out of 2025 a really good one.“

“I loved this place. Overlooking Lake Hamilton with plenty of outdoor seating 💺 and Tiki Bar. The brewery is small and quaint with two levels to enjoy your surroundings. They had one of the World Cup matching inside and outside on a large screen. A thunderstorm rolled in which was to me a pleasant experience. The civiche was really good, some of the best I've ever had. The California rolls were not as good as we've had.“
