“The food was only second to the service! I had the biscuits and gravy while my wife and friend both had the eggs Benedict. Both meals were amazing! We also had the onion rings for an appetizer and they were delicious. The service was absolutely phenomenal! Sophia took great care of us with kindness, positivity, and knowledge. “I lived in Lake Wales for over twenty years and I love Al’s Place the friendliest bar in town, remind me of the old tv show “Cheers “ when everyone knows your name. The beer is cold, the food delicious and they give you plenty. On your first trip there you will get initiated with the yardstick and become a member of the family group. My son and daughter got me back in Pennsylvania as I age to see that I have proper care, but promise me every so often the would bring me back to Lake Wales to visit all my old friend. Looking forward to February at when they celebrate the the holiday Mardi Gras and have a great time with all my old friends…..It’s a pleasure…Thank You.“

“The wife and I decided to go here after seeing a TikTok video. I had the bacon blue burger and she had the Carolina burger and we got fries. Everything was delicious. We will definitely be back well worth stopping for afternoon lunch and it was rather expensive came out to $21 for two burgers, fries, and a bottle of water.“
“This was hands down the best barbecue/soul food I’ve had in a long time. The wings are perfectly crispy but slightly smoky and I’m not sure the sauce but it’s a good balance of heat and sweet. The bbq chicken was moist but still had a great smoke and the sauce paired was excellent. The sides though are a show stopper, we went back for extra greens because they reminded us of our grandmother. My husband that doesn’t like beans loved these. And the Mac and cheese…. So gooey and just delicious. My wallet might be in danger. 🤣“
“Food is always real good, but it seems like at times the waitstaff is stretched and they don't check back as often as they should. By the time they come back and ask how everything is I'm done. Rarely stop back before having us checkout to see if we want coffee or desert. Place is loud... but that's expected.“

“You may think a restaurant within a community can't be as good as outside, but this is one of the best restaurants in the entire area. Nice atmosphere and everything is always tasty.Waitstaff is nice, but can be all over the place. We've had long waits without menus, not removing ingredients when asked, food delivered to wrong tables, etc.No blender at the bar, so don't expect any tropical drinks.“

“We ate here tonight after a long and satisfying day at Legoland with our kids. The food was on point. (Deluxe double burger and kids meals with vanilla and carmel pecan custards). I needed to specifically highlight the staff, who were super kind and patient with us and our small children; none of us knew the menu well, and they took time to answer our rookie questions without showing any impatience, esp on new year's eve a couple hours before closing. I wanted to also specifically highlight the black man who worked the counter tonight and took our order; he acted like he genuinely cared and took pride in what he does- I am sorry I dont remember his name, but he was fantastic in every way. I should have tipped him (I know tipping isn't required) and now I regret not. But the food, service, and cleanliness were all excellent. Thanks for making our last meal out of 2025 a really good one.“

“In town for the weekend and had the best service and food! Lupa was amazing from when we walked in until we left! So sweet, so personal! “Unique place, lively, full of vibes, great atmosphere packed but still plenty of places to sit.
Beer is a reasonable price but Cocktails ridiculous, hence the CB is deserted.
Many different food stalls and areas to eat.
Different shops.
Structures lit up, including Jetty etc.
Great place.“

“I haven’t tried their potatoes yet, but I placed an order for pasteles and I have to say they were delicious n I was so happy! The flavor was amazing almost like your abuelita made them from the isla. They were soft and full of meat! If you are looking for a pasteles girl, you don’t want to pass her up and did I say they deliver too!! It’s ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for me! A must try you won’t be disappointed ❤️😋“
