“I lived in Lake Wales for over twenty years and I love Al’s Place the friendliest bar in town, remind me of the old tv show “Cheers “ when everyone knows your name. The beer is cold, the food delicious and they give you plenty. On your first trip there you will get initiated with the yardstick and become a member of the family group. My son and daughter got me back in Pennsylvania as I age to see that I have proper care, but promise me every so often the would bring me back to Lake Wales to visit all my old friend. Looking forward to February at when they celebrate the the holiday Mardi Gras and have a great time with all my old friends…..It’s a pleasure…Thank You.“

“Absolutely adorable! Love the ambiance. Very chill vibes tonight. Charles is an A1 employee for sure. He helped me over the phone when the awful AI system failed when placing my order (please reconsider that as an option because I almost hung up because of it). Not only that, he made me smile while placing my order and offered suggestions to tasty dishes since this was my first time trying this place. Upon arrival to pick up my order, he was welcoming and efficient. I will return because of Charles!! I hope all the employees are as charismatic!

“Great lounge to have a bite and a drink. Honestly, I only have been here on the weekends. On Friday and Saturday nights, it's always a great time. You typically find a puerto rican crowd with a blend of island music played by the DJ that is from a popular radio station. They have a good dance floor, a pool table and they host pay per view fights and sports on their dollar not charging a dime. This is a very underrated place. Prices are great as well and the food is actually very good, love the alcapurrias. Hoy se bebeee.“

“Everywhere you see it’s dirty tables and not being cleaned as the people leave. The staff is exhausted just like any other parent you see in this hotel. Kitchen staff not as effective as they should be because one salad to make can’t be 45 min. Most likely they were short staffed or not prepped a busy week day. Salmon on salad was a little overcook but tasted good. Still a great restaurant and great service knowing that we have to deal with madness every single day…“

We had Braxton as our server and he was an absolute rockstar. Fast, prompt, and charming! He did a great job, and our table was very well taken care of.
