L'Incontro Italian Restaurant

We were in Lake Wales overnight to visit Bok Gardens & I had searched restaurants in advance. L'Incontro was selected as it offered 6 different veal preparations. We started with a split of caesar salad with a really nice creamy dressing topped with shaved parmesan cheese. Very ample serving. I ordered the veal piccata & my husband ordered the veal marsala. We could hear them pounding the veal in the kitchen for a very authentic Italian touch. Both meals came with "house" pasta & menu said no substitutions. Waiter said pasta would be spaghetti. Bob asked for angel hair & I requested alfredo sauce on my pasta & both requests were granted. We finished with creme brûlée served flaming to crystallize the sugar topping. A nice festive touch. Coffee was rich and strong. All over a great meal.

Waiter did not listen to my request. Food was delicious. I would return only if we had a different wait staff.

We have been there many times and every meal has been good. One of our favorite places. Great food for fair value

Went for dinner with a group of 8. Arrived on time 6 pm. Had a reservation that was made a week in advance and we had to wait for our table to be cleared. Then got seated, and ordered drinks and meals. We did not order any appetizers. Server comes to tell us that 2 orders were unable to be filled bc they were already gone. Delay again for reorders. Delivered one gin & tonic that was water. Reordered. By going to the bar to get a new one. It took over 2 hrs just to get our meal. Others that came after us were served b4 our meals were delivered. Watched people walk out. Then we get our bills and they have the audacity to add a 25% gratuity. The service was abysmal at best. Our entire meal should have been free. It was an awful experience. I wish we would have walked out! I will NEVER GO BACK!

Very nice ambiance and a small off main road spot. Customer service was very good and the food was good. Would come again. My youngest and I ordered the following:
Fried calamari: 8/10 I wish it was a little crispier. Good sauce.
Pineapple juice: 7/10
Spaghetti con polpette: 8/10 “meat ball dry”
Special - branzino stuffed: 10/10 Branzino is a Mami thing but I gave it a shot and it was very good. The spinach was a little too slimy so would not get that, but the fish and stuffing made up for it. Recommending.

Had a reservation with my friend for Sunday at 4pm and it was excellent. The attention, service and quality of the food were exquisite. Highly recommend if you're a foodie, love quality and want to spend a lovely time with the special people in your life.

My experience is nothing like others I have read! The service was polite and very slow but definitely not friendly. We did NOT get any recommendation. I had the chicken parm which was horrible. It was not fresh or real chicken. Could not eat it. It came with spaghetti which was no better. Very little sauce and no Parmesan or peppers on the table to try and make the meal taste somewhat good. I certainly don’t recommend this place. It’s expensive too however, I don’t mind paying when the food is good and at least edible!

Chicken Picatta was wonderful. Service was good. Had a table of 11 and everyone had a different dish. No one had room wait for there food.

The food, service and atmosphere were great. We had the chef's special stuffed ravioli. It was excellent. Our waiter, Aaron was great. We'll definitely be back again.

Great Italian old fashion expensive , plates are more than 20$ ! Service is slow and we have to ask for water and cheese for our food !

The Eggplant Rollatini appetizer is a must, it's absolutely delicious. Our entrees were delicious also. My husband ordered the bone in pork chop and I had the Chicken Piccata. Both were incredible and cooked perfectly. We love this restaurant and return frequently for special occasions or to meet friends.

We had a lovely dinner last night. We started with drinks - red sangria and a "Nohito" that was not on the bar menu. Both were quite nice. The lentil soup was delicious. If i wasn't careful, it could have been my entire dinner. The Caesar salad also was quite generous half portion. We had manicotti and chicken parmesan. Both portions were more than sufficient. The spaghetti with the chicken parm was nicely al dente. All food was delivered hot!!! Our waitress, along with the rest of the staff were friendly and efficient.
