My husband and I used to go to the buffet on Okeechobee and Military but recently started coming here because it's closer to where we live. I find the fried rice they serve here is a lot better. What they don't have is a good selection of desserts but that's not really a deal breaker for me. We will still keep coming back.
When we were first sat the server just stared at us for what felt like 5 minutes straight until WE spoke up and stated what we wanted to drink. The food was alright. The experience was enjoyable enough until we put our money down to pay and our server asked us where the tip was and then asked again in Spanish? we are Hispanic but we were speaking English the entire time. This was a second time visit.The first visit was not as pleasant. The food had sat on the hot tables much longer than needed. It was the middle of the week, when traffic is skimpy.The second visit was on a Sunday evening, when the buffet is clearly the Hispanic community's preference over home cooking with a small variety.I've seen bigger and better!Either way, the fact that there is a population consuming, allows for fresher food to be available.
