As a course its pretty good and the value for money especially in the summer is tough to beat. The Pizza is actually pretty good and the beers are cold with friendly service- what's not to like.

So first visit after a friend read about the Marana pizza - in the observer.Adjacent to the pro shop...the restaurant is dated in decor and lacks ambiance. We came for a relaxing golf course view and an exciting pizza... instead, both were lackluster. Our bartender/ server started out strong, but later never left the bar after our pizza was served. Instead, she spent all of her energy on the regular at the bar. The pizza crust was too doughy...with the Lamborghini of pizza ovens on board here, we expected a crust of perfection. We chose the $17.00 arugula pizza...minimal toppings...even with the honey ...very dry. So...while we wait on our check while she continues to tell her stories, we are certain we won't be back...note:We did not ask for our leftover pizza to go. THAT never happens.

Came here to try the pizza after reading about the "cook" in the Observer newspaper. Very disappointing. Pizza was "chewy" at best. Tasteless crust. Place needs a remodel. No atmosphere. Can't recommend sorry. Better go back to the drawing board if you really want more business from outside community.

Some of the posters here are very out-of-date and inaccurate. The carts are new with GPS that works great, with very accurate yardage- you don't need to use your own rangefinder. The course condition has improved a ton in the last year- especially the bunkers and greens. Very fair greens which run true and fast. And most of the bunkers have been upgraded with excellent sand- not too fluffy, and not hard-packed This course layout is one of the most interesting you will play. Exceedingly challenging, demands accuracy but rewards a well-struck shot. The staff is first-rate, especially Wendy, Robb and KC. And the grill has a brand new menu with amazing pizza, and a selection of very good sandwiches. The on-course beverage cart is super, and Diana and Brooke do an exceptional job. The pace of play can bog down with so much play, but it's very rare that it's more than 4:10 even on the busiest of days. One thing that needs improvement is the quality of the practice facilities- the grass can use work. The tee boxes are also pretty chewed up with so much play. I play here all the time and think it's the best value in Sarasota.

Challenging but a great course. Staff is great especially Wendy & Rob. Wonderful & welcoming ladies to golf with!

Great burger for me and my wife enjoyed her chicken wrap. As a surprize a local member passed by and gifted us with a free drink card. Nice guy. Waitress service was great too. Nice stop on our 9 mile Saturday bike ride.

Arnold Palmer is doing somersaults in his grave. This is a so-called "resort" course, which brags it as designed by Arnie himself. Course is crappy condition, greens were worse, and carts do NOT have GPS systems in them, something even the most mundane public course have nowadays.Saving grace is pizza made in restaurant, which is rather good, believe it or not.NOTE: This review is based on 2020 visit to the course, so things may have changed since then. I hope so.

A fun course. Seems like I lost balls in water to the right. I don't trust going near water in Florida. This course can be played safely and smart with 5-7 irons and not get in trouble... but more fun to flirt with disaster. Value? Seems more like a $50 per round course. Driving range: Sometimes crowded. When forced to use mats, it isn't worth the $10 for a tiny bag of balls. Staff: People working there don't help much. Only saw cart girl once and we were dying for drinks in the heat.

Our 2 pizzas were small with thick crusts and very sparse toppings for about $18 each. They should have been priced closer to $5 each. Not much there besides bread. There are much better pizza options in our area. Also the waitress was rude. However the pizza oven was copper and quite attractive.

I was really looking forward to playing golf with my dad and boyfriend because we never have time to spend together anymore and I was excited to show my boyfriend some florida golf courses... we decided to give Legacy a shot and were completely and utterly disappointed. The course is in awful condition, the staff was rude, not something you expect for the price you pay. Do not bother wasting your time or money here, we left by hole 9 and will not be returning. There are so many better courses near by.
