The Granary Breakfast & Lunch Restaurant

I visited the restaurant for breakfast and ordered the Belgian waffles, which come with strawberries and whipped cream; I requested chocolate syrup to be added on mine. To my surprise, the waffles were filled with sugar chunks. Initially, I thought it might just be an odd piece of batter, but as I continued eating, it became clear that this was a consistent issue throughout the dish.

When I brought this to the server's attention, she claimed it was sugar glaze, but I clearly explained that these were chunks, creating an unpleasant texture when chewing. The server even admitted that the waffles were not made in-house but were actually pre-made frozen waffles. When the manager got involved, she attempted to convince me that the sugar chunks were caramelized sugar. They offered to replace the dish, but I was left with a bad impression despite my love of sugar.

For a breakfast restaurant, it's unacceptable to serve frozen waffles, especially considering the price point they charge. One would expect at least fresh, homemade waffles when dining out.

Food was amazing. Very fresh tasting cooked to perfection. The service was impeccable . I have taken several clients here and now they are patrons.

I love the atmosphere and it was quiet enough to have a conversation easily. Food was tasty. Nice selection on the menu.

Great food and service except for the person who clears table. He clearing table way to frequent making you feel your time is up so move along. There was no waiting line and open tables. I understand, trying to keep the customers table clear of old dishes, but it was too over the top. We’ve been there before, and this level of table clearing did not occur. Maybe, the person had been warned about not keeping up with table clearing.

Retail strip mall location with an outdoor patio. Clean and busy restaurant with great attentive staff. I had another mediterranean omelet and was delicious!

Love their Chicken Pesto sandwich.

Fantastic tuna fish, pineapple coleslaw with a delicious surprise herb, and fresh tea, along with great background music and excellent service. Definitely a must do again soon!

Don't show up hungry. Small portions at around $15/plate. Nothing fancy food wise. I won't be coming back. I felt like I was taken.

I put in a catering order for 12 for a company meeting in LWR. Everything needed was provided. I ordered Option 2 - lunchboxes. Every sandwich was perfect! The cookies were good (I ordered a second tray because who doesn't like extra cookies?!). But the specific comment I received was that the COLE SLAW was amazing! I absolutely recommend the catering, and I assume that dining in is also as delicious.

As for ordering the catering itself, Karen was easy to work with. I started with an email with questions, Karen texted back, I put in the order via email as there were some bread preferences. Karen texted to confirm the order. Another employee did the pick up the next day with no problems. Such an easy process! I will definitely order from the Granary again! And certainly visit when I am down in Lakewood Ranch.

The omelet (ranch hand) and the pumpkin spice latte were delicious, but the hash brown was undercooked, and the pancake was dried. Excellent attention and beautiful place.

The host and waiter were extremely nice and attentive, bravo on customer service, food was delicious, best tomato soup I had in a long time, will be going back!
