I was a fan of this place back when it was Waggy Dags. They sold it to someone who ran it into the ground, and I had written it off. I was happy to see the name change and all the new positive reviews, so I decided to give it another shot—and I’m glad I did. They are BACK! Great-tasting sammies on good bread.

**Town Hero Lantana** offers a very welcoming atmosphere with kind, professional staff and owners who are hands on while running a smooth operation. The place has a lively energy and is a great little corner spot in a small plaza in the Town of Lantana. The food is amazingly fresh with unbelievable taste, made with fresh ingredients and really soft bread. Specific meals include the 12 inch Pork Bomb, the Cuban sandwich (a standout, with the large being 2 meals), meatballs, and the Italian. Other favorites mentioned are the Chicken Ranch & Bacon sandwich and hotdogs. Customers describe the food as absolutely delicious, berry berry delicious, and wholesome. The staff is friendly, patient, and very accommodating. Many plan to return again and again. A second location recently opened in west Lake Worth before getting to the turnpike.
