“The Best St Pete Gay Dive Bar . This place always has a relaxed atmosphere has friendly Bartenders and great cost effective drink prices. The best part it’s not a safe place for bridesmaids to scream at the top of there lungs OMG to every Brittney Spears song on the jukebox. It’s just a great place to sit and chat with other like minded folks. If you love a Dive Bar this is your go to place .“
“This bar is part of the Mari Jean hotel it is on the first floor and has some event every night, which is pretty great. I got to see Bingo and Karaoke. I ordered gaysodilla with chicken, and it was really good. Maybe a tiny bit overpriced for the portion, but it was good. I felt welcome and had a good time. While the rules are no smoking or vaping in the door, I saw this happening, and no one addressed it. Even another customer sitting next to me commented on this. Also, the smell of weed lingered through the outdoor bar inside. So that hurt the atmosphere and experience a little for me as I really can't stand that smell. Also while I was there a couple got in a fist fight, however the staff handled it well and got them separated and out of the bar but it was scary for a minute as the one guy looked very intoxicated and unpredictable. Even though this stuff happened, I would still say the bar was a beautiful, great theme that works with the hotel and is very clean and super convenient to anyone staying in the hotel. The only thing I thought was strange was the 1 person bathrooms for a bar. I feel you should have a large bathroom for multiple people. Other than that, I recommend checking out this fun friendly bar. Great parking right outside, too. “Stopped in for a nightcap during our last night in St. Pete. Overall vibe was low key, older crowd (yay), and great prices on happy hour drinks for top shelf vodka (Tito's @ 6.50/drink). First bartender that served us wasn't very friendly but the 2nd one was. Place was not quiet but not very loud either so you could carry a conversation. The only other downside (besides the first bartender) is searching for parking. Overall good vibe though and comfortable.“
“This is the definition of a "Dive Bar," but it does have its perks. First, the drinks are great, the bar tender was great, and the adult videos on the back tvs add an element that makes it a great gay dive bar. They have 2 pool tables and yes they are free which is amazing. I met a nice person and had a great evening. I would recommend this place, but keep in mind this is very much a "local bar," but you never know what you might see at a place like this. If you have a chance, check it out. I had 4 drinks and paid for another's, and my bill was $13 on underwear night, so it's big time worth it. Make sure you wear underwear, lol, so you can get the discount.
