Place will permitting close it's doors today....also they plan on reopen but at an entirely new location hope that does not doom the business....you permanently closing your only restaurant and its not like you go on vacation and come back to the same place

They have no idea where the next step is going to be or where they will re open at

Let's just say they will have a whole lot of rebuilding and more

La Capricciosa: A delightful authentic pinsa experience! This place is truly a hidden gem in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea, and I should begin telling everyone about one of their specialties, a unique pizza-like dish called pinsa. Made with a lighter, easier-to-digest dough that is lower in fat than traditional pizza, pinsa is a delicious option for those seeking a guilt-free indulgence. My recent visit was an absolute delight, thanks in part to the recommendation of a friend, Tomasso. Having lived in Italy himself, Tomasso's knowledge of authentic Italian cuisine added another layer to the experience. His assurance of the dishes' authenticity further heightened our anticipation, and indeed, every meal we tried delivered on the promise of wonderful, hearty Italian flavor. Our kind servers, "Marcos" and "Emmanuela", were super nice, friendly, and it was a joy to have them serve us. They recommended that we start with the Bruschetta Nduja and Tagliere, which were perfect for sharing. For our mains, we opted for a variety of dishes showcasing the menu's breadth: the Flete di Branzino (sea bass), Bucatini Amatriciana, Risotto Frutti di Mari (seafood risotto), and finished with Nutella Bomboloni for dessert. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Beyond the incredible pinsa, La Capricciosa offers several reasons to dine there: 1) Variety beyond Pinsa: Antipasti lovers will rejoice in their selection of salads, carpaccio, and charcuterie boards. Pasta fans can find classics like pappardelle amatriciana and lasagna al forno. 2) Wine & Ambiance: The restaurant boasts an open-air patio perfect for enjoying a meal alongside their curated wine list featuring bold Italian labels. 3) Flexibility: Dine-in, take-out, or delivery - La Capricciosa caters to your needs. 4) Local & Seasonal: We were told the only use fresh ingredients sourced from local farmers' markets which ensures top quality throughout the year. 5) Reservations & Tips: We learned that reservations are not required for smaller parties, but for bigger groups (10+) you should call to secure your spot. Overall, La Capricciosa offered a unforgetable dining experience with delicious food, a charming atmosphere, and a variety of options to please our demanding palates. Highly recommended!

We have dined here many times when in from Chicago and the food and service was always excellent. This time the food was very salty, the bolognaise sauce was way cooked down and the consistency of chilli. The pinsa we ordered was so salty we had two pieces and could not eat it. And lastly they only had one server with food runners the service was horrible! The owner Massimo could not have been cooking that night because I am sure he would have not let the food go out like this. I don't think we will be back for what they charge we should of not experienced this.

Fantastic food! Probably one of the best pastas I’ve ever had! Parpadelle with mushroomsSadly our server was terrible.Had to keep flagging him down as he was wandering around doing nothing.Had to flag him down for more water , after we said no dessert he wandered off and we had once again to get his attention to get the bill. Very bizzare behaviour.Hostess was great and welcoming
