Local and family-owned option with incredible handmade desserts. Jan was there and took very good care of us. Plenty of choices when it comes to chocolates including chocolate-covered pineapple and peach slices.
At a last minute search for chocolate covered pretzels and other things to add to a dessert table; came upon this little shop at Lauredale by the sea. First of all, so willing to have my order ready in a few days. Secondly, it was deliciously fresh. Third, the prices were fair. Next time I will not hesitate to include this stop next time an event comes up. No regrets!

With approximately 90 truffle flavors and a sugar-free section, there's something for everyone. New owner Nestor is welcoming and friendly, maintaining the shop's tradition of excellent service. Customers have discovered a hidden gem in Jan's, especially praising the viral Dubai Chocolate truffle and bar, which come in two sizes to suit different preferences. The shop also offers delicious samples and a great variety of handcrafted chocolates including bonbons, truffles, and covered nuts made in dark, milk, and white chocolate. One standout is the “black forest truffle,” which surprises with its changing flavors. Perfect for gifts or a personal treat, Jan's Candies continues to charm visitors with its enticing aroma and array of delicious choices.
