La Placita Paleteria y Taqueria is one of the best restaurants in Leesburg, serving delicious, authentic Mexican food. The menu offers a great variety of excellent options, including birria tacos, carnitas, a carne asada quesadilla full of cheese, and a torta of carne asada to die for. Portions are generous compared to most places. The freshly made chips and out of this world salsa are fantastic, as are the agua frescas, mangonadas, and drinks. The place also features a giant, high-quality ice cream bar inside with amazing house-made ice cream, popsicles, and treats like corn with hot cheetos. There is even a cool little grocery store with new interesting things. The service is warm, attentive, and great. The atmosphere has a party-like feel with music, and it gets busy with the after-work crowd, but the wait for fresh food is worth it. The restaurant is clean, prices are OK, and it is a perfect spot for both a flavorful meal and a sweet treat all in one place.
