CW Prime at the St. Regis is an absolutely stunning restaurant with a beautiful atmosphere, perfect for a special celebration! As someone who has learned about the unimaginable horrors of the meat, dairy, and egg industries, I was initially hesitant to step foot in a steakhouse. However, I attended for a birthday celebration and was pleasantly surprised to find a premium plant-based option that was not only available but absolutely delicious!!

I had their grilled sweet potato dish, and let me tell you—it was loaded with flavor, filling, and truly satisfying. While the majority of the menu isn’t aligned with my values, it’s encouraging to see a restaurant like CW Prime offering a premium plant-based option that stands out in quality and taste! With so many people learning about the health benefits and transitioning to a vegan lifestyles, I hope this inspires more restaurants to expand their plant-based offerings!

For anyone like me who chooses compassion and health, or for those curious about trying something new, I wanted to share this experience. It’s proof that even at a steakhouse, you can enjoy a delicious, cruelty-free meal. 🌱✨ Thank you CW Prime, well done!

Beautiful restaurant with an impressive build-out and upscale atmosphere, but unfortunately the experience does not match the premium prices.

My wife is vegetarian and the manager did come out to help accommodate her, which we appreciated.

Several appetizers were extremely salty. The beans had to be sent back, and both the tartare and sautéed mushrooms were also heavily salted.

I ordered the Black Hawk ribeye and asked for medium rare plus to allow the fat to render. It arrived well done, very thin, and not tender. The quality and thickness were disappointing for a steakhouse at this price level. A friend ordered Pittsburgh rare and his steak also appeared overcooked inside.

There were a few highlights. The house bread was excellent with a light buttery texture somewhere between a croissant and a traditional roll. The A5 Wagyu was outstanding. The cocktails were solid and the smoky Old Fashioned was excellent.

Dessert was a smoked s’mores that unfortunately had a noticeable butane flavor from the torching process.

Given the very high prices, I would expect much better execution. After four visits, three have been disappointing, so I cannot recommend this restaurant.

We went to the restaurant to celebrate my husband’s 65 birthday. The entire experience was nothing like we expected or have experienced at other fine dining restaurants. We were expecting a Maison Blanche type of experience. This dinner has no amuse bouche, long waits between courses, a scattered server, pre prepped
Food that could not be modified and no recognition of my husbands birthday. Not a cookie or a candle- just a big bill and a verbal “happy birthday, hope you had a good evening” on the way out.

The menu is in light small type, the room is dark and our server did not know the ingredients in the dishes. She couldn’t even describe them and when she tried she didn’t make the dishes sound appetizing. For example, the potatoes are pressed into logs with cheese on them. Plus the menu and the server failed to explain if a dish was spicy, etc. the manager said he wanted us to have a good experience but made no effort to help rectify the situation . He kept saying that the incorrect food that was delivered to our table was a misunderstanding???? How is that acceptable?

Martinis are served in champagne coupes . Thankfully the bartender knows how to make a good drink. We definitely needed beverages to keep us busy during the long wait between courses.

The prices reflect a restaurant that should be a fine dining experience which is what we expected. The dishes were placed in front of the wrong person and dishes were not cooked as ordered. The chairs are made for a living room not a restaurant. Attractive but not functional.

The true insult which caused my husband to say he was “profoundly disappointed” was the lack of attention to detail and the unwillingness to take the extra step to make him feel special. The final kick was that the parking validation was simply a discount and we still had to pay $10 to get our car. Of course we tipped the valet $5 because it isn’t his fault they the restaurant is a dud.

The best part is the ambiance and the bartender. The restaurant isn’t loud but it is pretentious without substance. Fancy knives without culinary or service prowess.

Chef Drew is amazing! All of the food was delicious from the beef tartare to the Wagyu ribeye and special sides. They use unbleached flour for their croissant bread to start and even use a local French flour burger bun from Bread Bandits. The service and atmosphere were very nice as well.

First, this is NOT a traditional steak house but more like a french restaurant trying to be.. SMALL side dishes and trying too hard to be different.. like using the French word to offer small portions but a super high price..
The $140 NY strip was good, but not especially memorable. The shrimp cocktail came with sauces that felt overly complicated, a creamy horseradish style that didn’t quite work. The truffle potato hash brown was small, very fried, and underwhelming for the price. Overall, the food didn’t meet expectations for a $500 meal. That said, the service was amazing and the atmosphere was absolutely gorgeous.

For dessert, the carrot cake was disappointing. It was mostly a ball of cream with just a small amount of carrot cake in the center. I was really hoping for a classic, true carrot cake, and this missed the mark.

CW Prime was hands down one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had and truly the best steak I’ve ever tasted. We came here to celebrate my birthday, and everything about the night felt special from start to finish. The atmosphere is refined yet warm, the service is impeccable, and every detail feels thoughtfully curated. The steak was absolutely unreal perfectly cooked, incredibly flavorful, and honestly unforgettable. If you’re looking for a spot to celebrate something important (or just want an exceptional meal), CW Prime is absolutely worth it. Such an incredible night I’ll be thinking about that steak for a long time. ✨🥂

If you don't care about prices, then this is a good place to go. Lovely dining room, excellent steak, and generally good service, though our server forgot a side and had to bring it out later, and the food took a while to come out. My husband and I split the regular 16 oz ribeye ($80) and it was plenty, but the tiny dish of sauce was another $10! Five asparagus spears were over $20 and all they did was boil and toss them in butter. The corn was delicious though. The cheapest cocktail was around $28 and honestly I didn't really mine was that great. If you split a ribeye, have two sides, and each have one cocktail/glass of wine, you might be able to keep it at $150 per person.

This may offend some people...but in all honesty, I don't care. The best steak that I have ever put in my mouth. Service was wonderful. If you are worried about price, maybe you should go somewhere else.

Yeah. So whoever dines and stays in St. Regis may be able to afford it, so the price is steep. But the quality should be reflect that. Yes service is good, and ambience. But common, 130$ for a steak, at least have the decency of offering potatoes or asparagus for the looks. 50$ for a burger, plain on bread. No vegetables, condiments. Nothing. Lacking big time for the clientele they aim for.

It is a beautiful setting. The service was very good, but the food is lacking for the price.

Located in the main lobby of the St. Regis hotel, we had dinner here for two evenings, Tuesday and Thursday, to celebrate a friend's birthday and for our wedding anniversary. So it's a two evening dinner party!!!

For both great dining experiences, we had ONNA and her assistant JENNIFER who both gave us mint condition, spectacular, awesome service. Knowledgeable about the entrees, and the house specials, sharp on their service, always there when needed.

The apps, consisting of beef empanadas, shrimp cocktails, and lettuce wedge, were all palate satisfying beginnings. For our main courses, two nights filet mignon, rib eye, and lamb chops. They were all grilled to a perfect medium rare. Flavorful sides of cream corn, lobster Mac and cheese fried potatoes and mashed potatoes. Oh so yummy. Top it off with The Josper Apple pie and a chocolate brownie!!!

Excellent service, delish entrees, and great wine list!!! Beautiful bar and decor, and cozy ambiance!!! A great touch was when you get to choose your cutlery for your steak. A box is brought out where you pick your sharp knife for your steak. A short satisfying walk back to the lobby and to our room!!!

We will be back!!!🍽️🍽️🍽️🥩🥩🥩

While staying here for five nights, we had to have dinner here at CW Prime to celebrate two milestone's... our friend's birthday, and to celebrate our wedding anniversary!!! A very nice table offered by the Guest Hostess HANNAH, with all the elegant and beautiful fine trimmings, attractive wine and spirits list, beautiful menu, unbelievable great service from ONNA, and her assistant JENNIFER. The bread and butter was a great tasty treat. Warm, terrific oven fresh flavor!!! Two bottles started our evening. One was a Sonoma-Cutrer Chardonnay for us, and the other was a Moët Rose champagne. Got our palates ready for a fine dining experience!!! Our two appetizers we ordered were the Beef Empanadas and the shrimp cocktail. Both dishes were all shared, were very tasty, never had empanadas that tasted like this. Highly recommend this. WOW!!! For our main courses we had three orders of filet mignon, and I had the rib eye. All four steaks came out to a perfect medium rare temperature and it was a perfect piece of meat!!! So tender, flavorful, and a perfect pairing with our sides of lobster Mac and cheese, creamed corn, and the crispy potato Pave. Nice touch where Onna presented us with a box, with our choice of custom made, very sharp, steak knives... they were very sharp!!! Another nice touch where Onna brought out a Josper apple pie with a candle, and a chocolate brownie for our anniversary!!! So yummy, so full, so happy!!! Overall, pure elegance, high end dining, beautiful bar and dining room, attentive, flawless, superb service from Onna. Pricey of course, entry in the lobby of the hotel. We will be back!!!🥩🥩🥩🎂🎂🎂👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
