She finished her entire ice cream and literally gave it a thumbs up. Usually she eats 1-2 bites and says she’s done. My 2 year old swapped between his and mine because he couldn’t decide what was better. My husband finished his first and doesn’t usually eat ice cream. Our server was a wonderful young man named Will who was attentive, kind, and interacted with everyone (so refreshing in this era)! He will be requested for our next visit. The music was loud and we were going to leave but my wife decided to go speak with one of the managers to see if he could do anything about it because we have hearing problems. He immediately got the music turned down a little and then got us a seat within 5 minutes. The food was wonderful and Chris the GM kept checking with us that we were being taken care of. “It has been years since downtown Abacoa had a decent Italian restaurant. That has changed. The new owners know how to make great dishes. My favorite is eggplant Parmesan, and I have ordered it each time I visit. My wife loves chicken parm. We have never been disappointed. And the pizza is excellent !! Don't forget the cannoli.“

My favorite dish was the humble black beans, perfectly cooked with subtle spicing and my main dish was pulpo (octopus), it was tender and again with subtle spices.
