“So I'm a queen from out of town here on the slow season for the cheaper room rates and I'm here to complain that I didn't bring any money with me, but since we're "community" the local bar should basically be thrilled that a sub par human being here for a deal has graced the entrance and should welcome them in for free with free drinks.
Well that's not how the world works sweat heart.
This is still a small town and we now each other. In case you didn't know there's an outlet about 50 miles west with an Off Saks, that's why we can spot your last season clearance rack designer bullshit.
Oh we're not like the gay bar your used to? Perhaps that's because you're not at your usual gay bar are you?
As someone who has supported this bar since day 1 I can 100% say that 99% percent of the tourists who come here are wonderful people just looking to have a good time on vacation, then there's the 1 and 2 star reviewers....
Those are the people that really ruin it for the entire world and it's not just here, click on their multiple reviews and discover that 1 star reviews are just masking serious mental health issues or flat out poverty.

“We had an absolutely incredible experience at this Cuban restaurant! We ordered the Guajiro family meal, and wow it fed all seven of us with ease, and we still had plenty of leftovers to take home. Every dish was packed with flavor, perfectly seasoned, and clearly made with love. What really made the night special though was our server Andra!!! She was beyond amazing, so kind, attentive, and absolutely hilarious. She made us feel right at home, like we were dining with family. It’s rare to find service that genuine and joyful. Delicious food, generous portions, and top tier hospitality, we’ll absolutely be coming back. Highly recommend! 💯🇨🇺“

“This is definitely a staple and one of the best restaurants to really uphold the influence and standards for the community. This is coming from a local… going on 32 and lived here since I was 5. They are one of a kind. I absolutely love the art and atmosphere. This bar is a an atmosphere like no other. Seth and Cat were absolutely amazing and offered wonderful customer service! If you get the chance I would recommend asking for them because they were also so knowledgeable about every drink and all of the food.“

“Alice’s was highly recommend by a local. I had grilled grouper and it was excellent! Best fish dinner I’ve had in a long time. Father-in-law had fried shrimp, also excellent! For desert I had bread pudding with a bourbon sauce, also excellent! I’ll definitely be back again!“

“After having the absolute worst experience at their neighbor establishment, The Grand Marlin, Captain Anderson’s exceeded all expectations. Our party of 13 was quickly given a large table, the drinks were great, food was on par, and the staff were all friendly from the get. The sweet woman at the desk to check in, the staff along the way to the table, our server, and the other waitstaff. 10/10 recommend. If you’re trying to decide which of the two to dine, Grand Marlin or Captain Anderson’s, I highly recommend the latter.“
