“So I'm a queen from out of town here on the slow season for the cheaper room rates and I'm here to complain that I didn't bring any money with me, but since we're "community" the local bar should basically be thrilled that a sub par human being here for a deal has graced the entrance and should welcome them in for free with free drinks.
Well that's not how the world works sweat heart.
This is still a small town and we now each other. In case you didn't know there's an outlet about 50 miles west with an Off Saks, that's why we can spot your last season clearance rack designer bullshit.
Oh we're not like the gay bar your used to? Perhaps that's because you're not at your usual gay bar are you?
As someone who has supported this bar since day 1 I can 100% say that 99% percent of the tourists who come here are wonderful people just looking to have a good time on vacation, then there's the 1 and 2 star reviewers....
Those are the people that really ruin it for the entire world and it's not just here, click on their multiple reviews and discover that 1 star reviews are just masking serious mental health issues or flat out poverty.

Thank you for providing a safe space for the LGBTQ community of Bay county for over 20+ years. You owe no one anything, and to the patrons that act a fool, are cheap or just weird, I'm not just speaking for Splash, I'm speaking for the entire PANHANDLE OF FLORIDA; STOP COMING HERE!!!!!“

“Amazing food! It takes a little while to come out but it’s because it’s all fresh. So it is well worth the wait. The service as great as well! Very personable. In a group of 6 every single one of us was so satisfied and loved our meal. It was fresh and delicious.
Dietary restrictions: They were very good about my shellfish allergy and didn’t cause me any issues at all.“

“We were in town for Christmas and stumbled upon The Old Beach Bar while looking for a place to see the sunset. Right across from the street gives it an amazing view of the water, as well as a small lake in the back. The drinks were fairly priced, the bartenders were very friendly, and the fellow customers were great. There’s pool, darts, karaoke, and even a small dance floor. It felt like we’d been going to this bar our entire lives, as if everyone around was family. Highly recommend stopping in, and we will be back every time we’re in town!“

“An outstanding experience. We sat at the bar and all three bartenders were outstanding. I got the mango habanero wings. Wings were large with great flavor and cooked to perfection! Highly recommend. Right on the bay with great views of the water“

“I’m not sure if I should be shocked or not. Having made more than a few visits to Runaway Island over the years, it saddens me that they are now hosting Spring Break events. So much for a “family friendly” spot. Again, I’m probably alone in this, but would not have thought they would have to stoop so low. Cross another one off the list.“

“Our waitress was very sweet. The food was great. We got the wings, BBQ & Garlic Parmesan and they were so good we came back the next day instead of going out somewhere else. Fries were seasoned and didn't even need ketchup they were so good. Shrimp was great also. Really enjoyed it.“
