My husband and I were looking for a nice seafood dinner and stumbled across Runaway Island. The wait was about 10 minutes, so it's not too bad for a beach restaurant. Our waiter, Garnell (Darnell but with a G), was so friendly, super attentive, and quick! He had several tables, and he made sure each one was well taken care of. Runaway Island never fails to deliver a very good dining experience for our family, especially with its delightful seafood that even the kids enjoy. Its sunny, bright ambiance in the winter, coupled with great views of the beach, creates a perfect, fun atmosphere. Definitely a nice spot we look forward to visiting every winter for its consistently good food and vibes.

This is a great restaurant on the beach with a wonderful view. Order the Chef special. Swordfish topped with grilled shrimp and asparagus with a fantastic Quinoa. The only issue was the entry and interaction with the host. Our server Cody was Fantastic. Super helpful and very prompt. 5 stars for him. Would definitely come back and highly recommend the Chef special.
