“We love Meg’s and bring out of town friends all the time. I was in Melbourne on Tuesday (3/25/25) and ordered to-go to bring home to my husband. The cabbage wraps, Irish Stew and potato balls were great. My husband’s shepherds pie was mostly potatoes, almost no pie filling. He was very disappointed.“

“We visited recently for our anniversary, we love this place! We were warmly welcomed in, while our table was prepared. Getting to our table, we had a thoughtful card signed by the staff wishing us a happy anniversary as well. Our server, Doug, was simply amazing. We wanted to hang out with him all evening! He took amazing care of us, and made very thoughtful recommendations with his great knowledge of the menus. We had the onion tart for an appetizer and it was decadent paired well with some wine and a nice craft cocktail. Main courses of a heritage pork chop perfectly cooked, and my wife had some amazing fettuccini. The flourless chocolate cake for dessert was absolutely divine. The service and atmosphere were top notch. We will always make this one of our regular spots! Thank you for an amazing evening, and do whatever you can to keep Doug! He is an amazing person and has one of the best service mindsets I have experienced.“

“Ehhh not necessarily family friendly. Came 2 weeks ago with my 3 littles for lunch. Our waitress was AMAZING!! The waitress who brought our food not so much. She argued with myself and my 6 year old son about the pickle with his meal. The pickle is included with a kids burger meal right?! I paid for it right? My special needs son cried, I was embarrassed for him and she finally brought one. Needless to say I will waste my gas to go to the beachside location and not this one. I can’t not have that happen again with my kids and she needs more training. Blonde with braided pig tails. We came around 11:30 on 6/39/2025. I’ve never been so embarrassed in my life. She needs more training or to be fired. Again will not ever return with my 3 kids and this has been a favorite place since our first child in 2015 and just us since 2013. I’d rather waste gas going beachside than to have her as our waitstaff for food again. 🤷🏼♀️“

“I am a snowbird from PA. When my husband was alive we enjoyed your restaurant sitting having drinks and dinner with several friends and family. I was in your establishment in Feb. On a Friday evening waited over 2 hours to be seated. I was told an hour plus I am a diabetic and started to not feel well. Once seated we were sat at a tall table for 8. The pipes above one of my guests had water dripping on her and her food. Since we ate there numerous times we also were disappointed in food we were served. It was a special day celebrating my daughter's 25th anniversary. Needless to say we will not be returning.“

“The Habanero Grill 1851 Palm Bay Rd NE Suite 2, Palm Bay, FL 32905 4.5 Stars The one thing you rarely see in a "Mexican" restaurant in the good old US of A is a personage from Mexico. According to a Pew Research Study, most of you, except for college or military service, would find this extremely surprising, as 57% of us have never left our home state. However, those who travel know this is because your local "Mexican" restaurant is Tex-Mex at best and so far from a real representation of the gastronomical delights originating in Mexico as to be unrecognizable as such. Not so for The Habanero Grill. This place was packed with people from Mexico. Having never experienced this, my guest and I paused upon entering. Maria, the worldly-wise owner, greeted us and immediately put us at ease with her understanding of the English language. My dining partner spoke Spanish, which was a plus but not a requirement by a long shot. When in doubt, nod, smile, and point! Having only read about the Mexican delicacy of an authentic Mole sauce, I ordered the Mole chicken along with some Carne asada and Huevos chorizo. With our order in, we sat back, took in a friendly, rousing atmosphere, snapped a few pictures, and thought of setting up a game of bumblepuppy on a napkin to pass the time when our food arrived. Just take a peek at those pictures, people! The plates are loaded with scrumptious-looking grub if there ever was any. If it tasted half as good as it looked and smelled, this would be one hell of a bang for your buck. First up on my ever-critical palate was the dish I had never tried, the Chicken Mole. Generally speaking, a mole sauce will contain fruits, nuts, chili peppers, and spices like black pepper, cinnamon, cumin, and even dark chocolate. I also heard that in some parts of Mexico, it is made with fresh chicken blood from that night's dinner, but this is unverified. The classic mole is known as mole poblano and is dark red or brown and served over meat. Based on the color, this was the variety I was served. The plate consisted of a leg/thigh piece slathered in the mole. The chicken was cooked to a perfect doneness, and my first foray into mole was a foodie's delight! What a sauce! The complexity yet melding of the spice combination set my taste buds to dancing. As hard as it was to stop eating this otherworldly sauce, I had a job to perform. Moving on to the Carne Asada. This dish was spot on. The meat may have been just a tad overdone, the reason for the 1/2 star loss on the rating, but the flavors were outstanding, and I had a severe fiesta going on in my mouth while still having one more dish to sample! The last dish to grace my palate today was the Huevos chorizo. I absolutely love a good chorizo. Combine that with perfectly cooked eggs, some rice and beans, and I am there. The chorizo was magnificent, just superbly seasoned. I don't know where they get it, but I will ask next time. The eggs were perfect, and the sides were excellent. I would gladly eat here once a week. The Big Boy says, "Winner, winner, mole dinner!"“

“Thai Koji, 2330 N. Wickham Rd., Melbourne, FL 32935 4.5 Stars Holy Rainbow Roll, Batman! Yet another Thai/Japanese combo hash house was staring at me from my random name generator. I have to fix this; all I'm getting lately are these places and Tex-Mex joints. This time, I was heading OTB to sample the fares offered at Thai Koji off of N. Wickham Rd. in Melbourne, FL. After being seated, handed a menu and assured my server would be right with me, I took a few pictures of the place and got ready to snap some of the menu. When I opened it, much to my surprise, I had committed a deterrational act. In so doing, I uncovered a leader in the Thai/Japanese cohort. As previously mentioned, I have a relative currently residing in Thailand. They have assured me on numerous occasions that two things you never find in a restaurant there are chopsticks and sushi. This place knew that and had two DISTINCT menus: Japanese and Thai, leaving little room for discussion. Am was our waiter for the meal and other waitstaff should take lessons from this man. He was exceptional in every category in which a server can be ranked. Well done, Good Sir! I asked Am for some Chicken Satay, Pad Kra Pow Stir Fry w/minced pork and a Lobster Roll. Sitting back and taking in the chill vibe, I wasn't too long before Am was seen returning with my feastage. I quickly dug in as the fusillade of fabulous fragrances ambushed my olfactory nerves. The Chicken Satay consisted of huge pieces of breast meat skewered, grilled to perfection and paired with a delicious Thai peanut sauce. The cucumber salad served on the side was fresh, crisp and delightful, consisting of freshly sliced and chopped cucumber, tomatoes and red pepper in a delicious dressing of Thai flavors. Next up was the Pork Pad Kra Pow Stir fry and this was also wonderful. The minced pork was tender, the rice was perfectly steamed and the side spring roll was a treat to my taste buds. The complex flavors in the Pad Kra Pow were executed flawlessly and stimulated my palate as only correctly prepared Thai food can. Moving on to the final item to be tasted on this foray into the sea of Thai/Japanese combo places, I direct your attention to the Lobster Roll. First, please take a peek at the picture of said roll. It is certainly a work of art to the discerning eye. With krab inside, fresh tuna on top and a wonderful spicy sauce drizzled to top it off, it looked far better than it tasted. I am fairly sure I got the last Lobster tail in the freezer as it came off slightly freezer-burned. If it weren't for that tiny, albeit important detail, this would have been a 5-star meal. The Big Boy says, "In a pool with a myriad of choices for Thai/Japanese places to dine, make a point to visit this one."“

“I first tried this place when I visited Melbourne Beach a few years ago. I come back here every chance I can get. The Fish Sandwich is outstanding! It's so simple but so delicious. Not frozen fish like typical restaurants. You could never go wrong with their Cuban Sandwich. Their pork is sooo good! ...especially with that chipotle aioli they make. I also got to try the Seafood empanada today. (i want more!) So so so good! Can't forget the Guava & Cheese empanada for desert. My daughter (and me!) loves them!!“

“Every now and then the universe gives you a perfect experience and that is what happened your first visit to this brewery! Aiden and Jayden took excellent care of us… the beers were absolutely phenomenal. We sampled many and enjoyed every single one! We are a bit snobbish on craft beers and this place hit all our top marks! We ordered the brisket burger with onion rings and it was recommended to try the barbecue sauce with it by Jaden. Honestly, it was absolutely fabulous. All of their sauces are homemade, including the honey mustard in the ranch dippy’s that we got. We had the privilege to meet the brewmaster and we had to shake his hand because he has done a phenomenal job. This will be a must go to anytime we are in Melbourne and I’ve also let the family know this is a must stop for them as well! 5 stars! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️“

“Gorgeous and relaxing. Life is easy at the Grant house. Fully furnished, clean, and perfectly set of so you don’t have to worry about a thing. We vacationed here for a week, and felt like we had arrived to a luxury abode. Between the deck, patio, pool, dock, and fire pit, we were never bored. And when it storms, the upstairs has 3 decks to sit and watch the storm pass. Well worth the hefty price we paid. I only wish I was able to bring my doggo..“

“Main Street Pub 705 E. New Haven Ave., Melbourne, FL 32901 5 Stars Located in Historic Downtown Melbourne, in a building dating back to at least 1947, Main Street Pub opened in 2005 and they don't appear to be leaving anytime soon. This is one of those places you pass a million times and never give it a second thought. I am so glad the name popped up for review, forcing me to stop. This place is truly a hole in the wall. But what a wonderful hole it is! The service manager explained that they slow roast a bottom round daily and slice to order. I requested for one Pub Bleu Sandwich, and to appease those readers who insist that you will live longer avoiding red meat, I ordered one Tuna Salad Sandwich and a Caesar salad. Waiting for my grub, I enjoyed the history of the building I was in. Locals tell of a watering hole here in the 1800s; the actual location of this tale is just behind their Tiki Bar. Seriously cool if you're a history geek. It wasn't long before my chow was ready and after snapping a few pictures, I proceeded to the job at hand. One bite of the Pub Bleu and I knew the service manager to speak true (there is a song in there somewhere). I have never had Bleu cheese this fresh outside of a salad and that roast beef? Holy Bessie on a Rotisserie spit! It was spectacular! The Kaiser roll was just as fresh and the accompanying Au jus was to die for. What a sammich!! Forcing myself to stop at two bites as I had a job to do, not a maw to cram, I grabbed half of the Tuna Salad and took a healthy bite. This is outstanding. If they didn't catch the tuna that morning, I don't know their secret, but this had to be the freshest, tastiest tuna salad I have ever had grace my palate. My final choice was the Caesar salad. This item, like everything else, was made to order. Not only was the dressing spot on but the croutons were made on-site, NOT from Sysco. These immediately took me back to high school and the salad bar in the Senior Cafe at Mel Hi. Remember those croutons? When I leave a place that knows they have done an excellent job, they always invite me back. I usually make some excuses about having to do so many reviews when there is no time; however, I will make an exception for this place. If I possessed the power of Advowson, I would point this cook the Head Chef of Melbourne pubs. The Big Boy says, "Give 'em a try. This food is great. I will be back.“

“Another Broken Egg Cafe 705 Palm Bar Rd NE West Melbourne, FL 32905 4.5 Stars (chain restaurant review) Having grown to a modest 91 locations since 1996, it's safe to say Another Broken Egg Cafe is here to stay. With more than half of those (54) being franchise-owned and having an annual revenue of over $2 million per location, it's also safe to say this is a good investment. That one was free. Ashley was my service pro for the meal and she was OUTSTANDING in every way a server could. The streak stands at seven. I asked Ashley for one Broken Egg Biscuit Sandwich, an order of Shrimp & Grits, some Strawberry Pound Cake French Toast (because, did you see the name of that dish?) and a half order of Beignets. As Ashley retreated to place my order, I snapped a few pics of the joint and kicked back to await my Strawb....err, order. Based on the turnaround and presentation of said order, I would hazard a guess that the kitchen staff on hand was as pro in their duties as Ashley was in hers. I mean, look at that stuff! Pausing long enough to place my napkin, I eagerly grabbed the Broken Egg Biscuit Sandwich and took a goodly sized bite. As the flavors hit my palate, my jaw paused mid-mastication to allow the deliciousness to wash over my mouth like a wave of savory succulence. West "By Gawd" Melbourne, you are some lucky sumwitches to have this in your neighborhood. The chicken tender was juicy and that sausage gravy was to die for. However, as with all things sandwich, it's all about the bread/base and as sure as there are mosquitoes in Alligator Alcatraz, this was some of the best biscuit I have ever had. It was crisp on the outside and all flaky-moist goodness on the inside. This right here is 5 Star all the way. Forcing myself to move on to the next dish, I plopped a forkful of Shrimp & Grits into maw. Dang. This was as tasty as the Biscuit Sandwich. I'm on a roll today! The flavors were outstanding. The grits were cooked to perfection; however, the sausage and shrimp were mid-grade, and I was not expecting that. This brings us to our penultimate stop on our culinary journey through the menu of Another Broken Egg Cafe: the staggeringly beautiful Strawberry Pound Cake French Toast. Look at the picture. Look at it! French toast-style pound cake topped with fresh strawberries, whipped cream and crème brûlée sugar - how could this not be fantastic? This was literally divine and is highly recommended. I had to stop myself or I wouldn't have room for even one bite of the item yet to be sampled, their Beignets. These were warm, tasty and topped with a gorgeous marmalade that I would crawl across broken eggshells for. The whole meal was eggselent and literally a sausage switch away from being 5 stars. The Big Boy says, "Just go already, but avoid the sausage for now."“
