If you're on Marco, Doreen's is a must for breakfast. Good vibe, great food. Busy during the peak season but worth the wait. The new fig & brie omelet is excellent, crab cake beni is always great as well.

CHECK BILL FOR ADDED GRATUITY!!!

I recently visited Doreen’s with a party of nineteen. As expected, our bill included an 18% gratuity for the group size, which was fine. However, when I received the bill and paid, I noticed that the gratuity had been added twice.

When I questioned the server, she acted confused but didn’t seem surprised by the situation. She refunded the bill, but when she recharged my card, she had already closed the original receipt (which contained the double gratuity). On the second transaction, I signed on the digital keypad, but the way this was handled left me very uncomfortable. I should have signed the digital keypad the first time.

This experience gave the impression that the restaurant is either running a dishonest billing practice or at minimum has very concerning payment procedures. Guests should not have to scrutinize their bills to catch gratuities being applied more than once.

I am writing this complaint so others are aware and can check their receipts carefully when dining at Doreen’s. What happened to me felt like more than a simple mistake—it felt like a scam.

So sad… they need nicer employees at the host stand, especially the higher ups.

They love to low ball you wait times. I’m not upset to wait a long time but don’t tell me 30-40 mins and then have me wait double the time (70-80 mins). Just be straight and tell me 80-90 mins and I’ll be happy to wait. I get it’s hard to predict exact wait times but damn to be off/wrong by double from what they initially tell you. CRAZY.

They can easily fix this by telling customers on busy weekends to get the table back as soon as all food and beverages are consumed. Or ask customers to order everything at once to speed up wait times.

I get it might be a busy weekend. But if that’s the case. Be honest with wait times. And have enough waiters to attend us. As I’m writing this, I’ve been waiting for 15 mins for someone to take our orders.

I miss NeNe’s Kitchen. Food, service & price were 10x better. The OG skillet and crunchy french toast. Please come back 😢

I will say Joey’s Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich is the best I’ve ever had.

Little pricey but you get a unique one of a kind menu full of wonderful options. I make the best french toast ever by double and triple dipping the toast between frying and there's with a cereal batter was almost better than mine. Hats off ..

The Greek omelet was packed with flavor and cooked perfectly, while the key lime pancakes were hands down unforgettable, fluffy, fresh, and uniquely delicious. The service was warm, attentive, and made the experience even better. A perfect spot for a memorable breakfast or brunch. Highly recommend!

If you come to Marco Island, you need to have breakfast at Doreen's. The make your own skillet was SO good.
