Had dinner here last night and it was delicious. The homemade chips were the best I have ever had. We will definitely be back. I highly recommend this restaurant if you want REAL Mexican food.
After messed up dinner plans due to my carelessness with dates, my husband and I had an open evening. We had seen the restaurant in passing and looked at customer reviews. After all of the positive comments as well as an unsolicited recommendation from someone else staying in our resort, we decided to check it out. Zaza Modern Mexican Restaurant is locally owned and offers a comfortable atmosphere and really good service. The food is phenomenal, delicious, full of flavor, and has a homemade feel with top tier quality. Favorites include the achiote carnitas, fajitas, tacos, quesadillas, and enchiladas like the chicken tings enchiladas mole. The homemade chips and salsa, fresh tortillas, and piping hot, generously portioned meals are particularly noteworthy. Some find the wine overpriced and note an extra charge for more chips and salsa. It is considered the best Mexican food on the island.
