“My husband and I just enjoyed dinner there this past Saturday and my goodness!!!.. we were not only blown away by the food, wine and dessert; but the service Kelci provided! The Mullett 3 ways appetizer was incredible. The coconut encrusted mahi with pina colada rice (and don’t even get me started on the crispy scallions!) was DEVINE. To finish off with the PERFECT key lime pie was just…well, perfect! We love Blue Dog, can’t recommend enough and can’t wait to go back and truly ask for Kelci; so on it, so sweet, no rushing, helpful etc. everything positive!“

We loved the breeze, boats going by, superb clam chowder, pizza and music. Great service by our waitress. Glad to be back on Matlache. Parking is tricky. We got there early. “This place is the perfect casual relaxed Tikki bar. The guacamole is to DIE for !!!! I ordered it on the suggestion of Kat the barlass, whose service was absolutely incredible !! I followed the fresh made guacamole with the grilled ribeye and it was a perfect blend of flame kissed savorieness and a very slight scald flavor to give it some earthiness. The prices are reasonable the atmosphere is relaxed and casual. This place is worth driving out of your way for. You will NOT be disappointed!!!“

“Its a cute local and inexpensive place for kids to go to, however, i dont like that they allow adults and teens in the play areas for the kids. Once the kid is 11 or older they no longer belong in the jungle area where toddlers and smaller kids are playing. I was just there w my 6yr old and there were kids that were about 13yrs old running over the smaller kids and basically roughhousing in the jungle gym. Then, there was a male adult (who honestly looked high) in the ball pit area wanting to talk to and be friendly w the kids. I had to pull my daughter out bcuz I was uncomfortable. If this rule changes, I think parents would feel MUCH more comfortable and kids would be safer. Other than that, its a great place for a local fun afternoon.“

“I know I left a review a couple of weeks ago about the store over on Park Meadows I had to come into the one over on McGregor and again the service is unbelievable you go in there kind of feeling like all right is someone going to help me and you end up leaving it feeling like you made a friend there's not too many customer service places left like that I know because I'm out all day and I visit them and Mr Todd is so awesome I placed an order a couple of weeks ago and because it got messed up he actually is going to give me one of what I ordered for nothing on the house who does that anymore if you want a place to just pick up a vape or if you want a place to feel relaxed and comfortable and playing arcade or two and have something to drink I suggest you visit either the Park Meadows or the McGregor location I promise you'll feeling that good even if you lose money lol“

“My husband and I came here last night and we had a great time. Hannah was an absolute gem, she happily answered all our questions and recommended good choices off the menu. We had the Hogfather sandwich on sourdough with fries, the chicken tenders tossed with the cilantro, corn, cojita cheese and other spices (they were huge) and we tried the gouda mac and cheese. We weren't too impressed with the mac and cheese but it was good, and the rest of the food was fantastic. My husband also loved their old fashioned.

They had a cover singer was wonderful as well.

We will definitely return if we head back to Ft. Meyers.“

My hosts said try the fish. Catch of the day. Etc etc. I ordered triple tail platter. I'm from Boston so I have no idea what a triple tail is. I asked for grilled fillet. Small thin serving. Reminded me of TV ad...." where's the beef." Good yet could have eaten 2x.

Platter came with fries and small serving of coleslaw. Coleslaw was good, IMHO.

“Things are getting worse in almost all Cape restaurants & bars. But the Dive is doing exactly that - taking "The Dive". Bartender was so bad that we had a beer apiece after he noticed us sitting at the small outside bar. We were so unhappy that we decided to cash out and leave (mind you, the one beer that we ordered from him) and he asked if we had a tab. 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔 what are you on? Tolerance can only be applied for a certain amount of time and then it runs out; oh, and then people go to other places. That would be us.“

As a lifelong foodie who usually cooks high-end meals at home, I was genuinely impressed. Some of the negative reviews I’d seen beforehand now seem baffling — this place exceeded expectations across the board.

The food was outstanding. The beer-battered shrimp were the best I’ve ever had — light, crispy, and flavorful. The wings were excellent, and my wife loved her smoked pulled pork sandwich. Their signature fresh gator was also a standout. First-timers: go for the virgin breaded version — it’s far more tender and crispy than the flavored options.

Prices are very fair, especially considering the quality. The cocktails are strong and well-made, and their house IPA, Reef Donkey, was a surprise hit — easily the best IPA I’ve had.

Despite being a sports bar-style venue, it’s spotlessly clean, welcoming, and delicious. It’s a little off the beaten path, but absolutely worth the effort to find. We’ll definitely be back.“
