Got the wrong order and called, they wouldn’t exchange it or refund, said I had to order again. So I’m either stuck with food I don’t want or have to spend more money on another order.
SO, ended up picking up food from somewhere else and didn’t touch any of the food, wasted my $. I don’t know if the food is good but I know the service isn’t. This was my first impression of this place, very disappointed. Part of good customer service is to make it right for your customers. Boo👎🏻

Food is pretty good here, service usually OK. Have been a few times. Recently sat down for a quick drink at the bar, and the bartender ignored me and my friend for ~10 minutes so we just left. Pretty disappointing. I don't typically judge super slammed bars for taking a few minutes between drinks, but there were 7 people including us...having worked at a bar in the past, would have had a cold drink in the hands of any new face within 2-3 minutes on a BUSY NIGHT.

Will probably come back for dinner at a table cuz like I said, food is good. But pretty soured on this place because of this.

We went here before about 3 times and it was great...but today it was like they dumped a salty can of yellow nacho cheese over chicken. The kind that a 7/11 might have. I've had their queso over things there before and this was not it. I cook all the time and I never had a Mexican dish I did not like. But this was awful. Seems things got cheaper quality. The salsa was fresh. I really liked this before ...is this what you put over your shrimp dish now ?

A slightly odd experience. (Especially for my first time.) I went there recently and was told after I ordered that they had run out of tortillas. (That's like a Chinese restaurant running out of rice! LOL) They offered no alternatives. So eventually I asked them if they can give me anything, even a corn tortilla? He seemed a bit confused but then eventually said yes and brought out a few small ones. All the while people were ordering burritos around me (after I ordered) and they were coming out wrapped in flour tortillas. So confusing. LOL. (To be honest I don't think the workers I interacted with even spoke much English.) Also, I ordered a chimichanga with shredded beef but they brought it out with ground beef. So, zero for two on my order. But the food tasted good.

5 major let downs I will be describing

First off. Well we were seated and they brought us some "aguas frescas" which are pineapple supposedly and just to be sure I asked waiter if they are fresh fruit mix which he said yes. So I ordered and got disappointed. In reality it was the powdered artificially flavored pineapple. I ordered horchata and was too sweet and tasted bad too but I was embarrassed to ask him to change it out too. So was my partner let down so she settled for carbonated soda from the fountain machine.

Secondly, the chips are way too hard and felt like they have been there for a long time. No flavor whatsoever. Also the salsa was below par. At this point I wanted to leave but I wanted to try the food.

Third, the restrooms seemed awfully cheap looking compared to the whole atmosphere there. It was clean at least

Fourth, they really cooked every way over cooked.. for example the steak wasnt appealing looking. Looked grayish and soggy. We ordered the tabla meal which was 43 and some change but we thought it was reasonable.

Fifth, we saw the menu offered "roasted street corn" so we decided to try it out. Only to see it looked straight out of a can type of corn. Soggy and full of mayo. With a little spice and cilantro. You can taste the mayo more than you can taste the corn. So much for roasted corn huh... Absolute false advertisement I guess on their behalf.

Sadly I won't be coming back. Far from being authentic and all. The vibe was nice though. One of the only restaurants I've gone to that actually plays Mexican music in a Mexican restaurant.. which is great but for a business to play music with YouTube ads well it doesn't sit right. I mean I'm sure the owner is loaded with cash. Maybe has a house with Beach front but just shrugs off having to pay a measly 14.99 a month for no ads.. who am I to judge right?

Waiter was on point so we tipped him about 30% of the total bill. Not his fault the place needs a lot of attention to detail.

This a cute place and priced well. Service took a little longer than expected, but was nice. Chicken was dry and don’t recommend the quesadilla for that reason. Too much dry chicken with very little cheese. The basic burrito and taco with beef were tasty.

The food was tasty, albeit a little overpriced, the margaritas were great, but the experience was disappointing.

We stopped in for dinner and ended up talking with a nice gentleman named Daniel at the bar. He ordered one appetizer, a margarita and a meal to go. He also ordered me a margarita and my husband a beer. When he paid his tab, he specifically told Rueben that he wanted to pay for our meals. We told him he didn’t have to do that, but he insisted. He handed Rueben $200 and asked to be sure that was enough. Rueben said that was plenty and thanked him. Daniel wished us a Happy New Year and left. We were ready to leave soon after and thought we would ask to be sure the bill was taken care of(and to give them an additional $40 because we wanted to tip them ourselves). Rueben said that Daniel had only paid for himself and not our bill. We disagreed, but he wasn’t budging. He said Daniel comes in often and always tips $15 or more. The couple next to us noticed what happened and agreed that Daniel had definitely said he was paying for our meals. In other words, Rueben took $200 from someone trying to be nice and pocketed around $100 for himself. We paid our $75 bill with no tip. This was New Year’s Eve. Thank you Daniel for your generosity. Rueben, you should be ashamed of yourself.

First time, last time.

These bartenders take advantage of people as do the servers
They never tell you prices
And than charge you exorbitant prices for drinks without telling people shake on them

We had the Tex-Mex tacos, rice and refried beans, super burrito loco. The food was pretty good but we have had better at other restaurants. They had a great atmosphere. We recommend this restaurant if you're in the area.

Always delicious food. Never had anything bad from Salsas. The atmosphere can get a little loud, but there is outdoor seating if you prefer. The staff is ok.

Wheelchair accessibility: Yes, all one level.

This happened twice. Why is it when I point to the item on the menu that I get plain tacos❓ She asked if I wanted American or Mexican. I asked the cashier if I was getting this or some tacos? She had replied, "Yes." She then confirmed something in Spanish to another girl. I didn't get Au jus (caldo or beef broth) like the menu says after I opened it at home. Compare the price of the menu item to my receipt. I would suggest to get rid of the American and Mexican choices. I would think everyone would prefer Quesatacos de Birria, if we ever have it served.

Big Boy Dining Out

Salsas Cocina 5559 N. Wickham Rd., Melbourne, FL 32940 5 Star (Chain restaurant review) This is a local chain with 12 locations throughout the Sunshine State. I like the use of this space. It is maximized for use but still looks new, even though the restaurant is a few years old. Francisco is our waiter, but he disappeared. Thankfully, Giselle took over and she is a pro. I asked Giselle for one order of Mexican Mole (Chicken) and an order of their Ceviche (against my editor's better judgment). Like eating Oysters in a buffet, he learned a long time ago never to order it. When the dish consists of seafood and citrus, beware, as the citrus is often used to mask overly ripe proteins of the seven seas. About 15 minutes after Giselle placed my order, Francisco reappeared. Strangely, Giselle told me the tips were not pooled and refused a tip. One of my new favorite Mexican dishes is Chicken Mole. This dish was outstanding. The chicken was tender and succulent, cooked to perfection. The Mole was firm, supple, and undulated across my tongue like many Colubrids. The complexity of the sauce is to be admired. Moving on, it was time to sample their Ceviche. Looking at the pictures, one can see how fresh it appeared. Trust me. It was. The chef's presentation of the avocado on top was so artful and ithyphallic that it became the talk of the table, adding a touch of humor and sophistication to the meal. The seafood was exceedingly fresh and melted on the palate. In a word: Delicioso! Take that, Mr. Editor-In-Chief! Unbelievably, Francisco returned and asked if I was ready for the check (I had already taken care of it with Giselle). The Big Boy says, “Mexican food is like Francisco and Giselle. It is hit or miss. This was definitely a hit (despite my short interactions with Senor Perderse).”

They are very short staffed so service wasn't great, but our waiter was trying! We had enchiladas supreme and chicken chimichanga with black beans and the meals were huge and tasty. Once ordered, the food arrived quickly. Our bill was $30 for 2 people. Less expensive than our takeout chinese a few days ago!
