Amazing food , full of flavor. Great atmosphere and customer service. I’ve been on the beach over 10 years and this is definitely the best Greek food in Miami . I will be back . I love the dessert.

The restaurant is a welcome addition to the West Avenue district. I live on Belle Island. I'm Greek and grew up in the restaurant business (a retired attorney now). The menu offers some items not on the usual fare. Service was attentive; love the octopus with a fava pure; whole roasted califlower was interesting delight; the Greek salad had a light touch especially how the cucumbers were sliced; the keftedes (Greek meatballs) were exceptional. And a couple of Greek deserts other than baklava!

Excellent food. The best spanakopita ever. We dine outside with our doggie. Highly recommend this reasonably priced neighborhood gem!

This is an authentic Greek restaurant for mezzo. Nikos & Gigi were so hospitable and friendly! The chef was amazing and do not skip dessert - the chocolate cake was sublime! We will be back!

Although they just opened about a month ago, they had their act together. The lighting outside, tableside, was romantic and beautiful. This side of town is quieter barring an occasional flight so it was a pleasant change from lively and noisy Collins Ave. Food was tasty and very authentic. The dips were wonderful along with grilled perfection of the Chicken Souvlaki! We would definitely come back to Bakalo!

We ordered a selection of appetizers for lunch. All were well presented and tasty. Enjoyed the Fava bean purée under the grilled octopus; sweet and ripe tomatoes in the salad; and the keftedes were exceptional.

The restaurant was packed. There are only two servers and they are very rude. We sat down ordered wine took 10 minutes to get it. Ordered two dishes one came after 20 minutes the other one never arrived. Then, the people who were seated after us got all their food at Once while we sat there without ours. We asked the two men including the owner what was going on and he told us to leave! He should have apologized given most of the people sitting around us were also annoyed at how long it was taking for them to come over for them to order. They are not warm and friendly just overwhelmed. It seems like they don't want to hire more waiters because they don't want to pay them. Greed does not work. The portions are tiny ! They also only serve Greek wine by the bottle very strange.

I highly recommend Bakalo, a Greek gem in Miami Beach. The authenticity of the food is unparalleled, offering a true taste of Greece. The owners create a warm atmosphere, and the service is consistently excellent. Unlike other places, it's not touristy, making it our go-to spot for a weekly dose of deliciousness.

Sit outside if you go. Inside noise level high. The food is mediocre at best. The tarama was very salty but the hummus was good. The octopus was done well but the moussaka was not worth ordering. We loved the cheese balls with a lovely jam . The desserts were just okay with the baklava dry. For 95 dollars a person with tax and tip you can do a lot better on Miami Beach.

Bakalo restaurant is a Mediterranean culinary gem in Miami, offering the best flavors of the region. From succulent kebabs to flavorful mezze, every dish is a delightful journey through Mediterranean cuisine. The quality of ingredients and attention to detail shine through in every bite, making for a truly exceptional dining experience. With its warm ambiance and attentive service, Bakalo is a must-visit destination for anyone craving authentic Mediterranean fare in Miami.

ago We had guests visiting from NYC and were looking forward to dining at Bakalo Mykonos Aegean Bistro after reading this was the first US outpost. We were seated outside as requested and the ambience was ordinary. Unfortunately the food misses the mark. A cold meze starter of three spreads is presented in tiny bowls with pita triangles. Our guest requested additional pita which is an upcharge of $1.50 on the bill - really! The balance of our meze choices were a mix and not memorable. Octopus was an attempt at creativity but was lacking on all levels. Entrees included a branzino that was substandard in flavor and texture. Greek kabob could be found at any street fair. We left feeling unfulfilled in our culinary experience not to mention the price point which is excessive. We will not return to Bakalo and will clearly not recommend to our friends.
