The ambience and service was perfect. The soups, ceviche and Uni was amazing. But I've done a lot of Omakase and for the value we just didn't think all the other courses were all that great. All the Nigiri was a little bland and missing something.  I think for the money, some of the other Omakase in Miami are a little better for the value. Plus, the courses felt a little rushed. But the chef was great, and so was the hostess. Again, just felt like some of the courses...
Best Omakase we have had in the US. Chef Erik brings new meaning to the experience — the creativity of his preparation and flavors he brings to every bite is like no other. I don't like Uni and i loved it here for the first time. Talented, great personality and made my husband's birthday really special. We will be back. This is by the way a soace that holds 6 seats and it was just the 2 of us that night. Sake selection is also impressive.
We've been to El Secreto 5x over a few years and each time it is simply spectacular in every way. Chef Eric and Chef Carlos are exceptional chef's and human beings. It's so fun to chat with them in such a personal/intimate setting while they prepare each dish and to hear them explain the details of each course. Simply spectacular - highly recommend and we cannot wait to be back again for another omakase.
