Review: Queen – Miami Beach
We visited Queen last night in Miami Beach, and the setting is absolutely stunning. Housed in a beautifully renovated Art Deco-era movie theater, the space is glamorous and visually impressive. As the evening unfolds, the energy ramps up with live entertainment—smooth saxophone performances and Vegas-style acrobatics create a vibrant, nightclub-like atmosphere that’s both theatrical and fun.
That said, the food told a different story. We started with sushi, but unfortunately, the heavy-handed sauces overpowered the delicate flavors of the fish. For mains, we tried the branzino, a New York strip, and a ribeye. All were fine, but nothing stood out—they were solid but unremarkable.
Service was a weak point. It was slow, and the staff seemed undertrained. When we asked about ingredients in one of the sauces, no one could answer confidently—it felt like a “deer in the headlights” moment.
I’d return for the entertainment, ambiance, and maybe a cocktail or two at the bar. But next time, I’d eat dinner elsewhere first.

Simon and Jeff are the best bartenders ever. I really enjoyed them. They were quick and very efficient. Drink recommendations were great. Me and my wife felt fantastic with them and their service. Queen is amazing. Thank you guys so much. Staff is fantastic too notch.

We had a wonderful evening! The omakase tasting menu was refreshingly unique; the kind of meal you can only get from Chef Kamakura. Our server, Sabrina, was excellent and incredibly attentive. We would go back anytime we are in Miami.
I highly recommend it, and then going downstairs to see Simon, a fantastic, super kind bartender with great suggestions.

Went to omakase at Queen and had a truly amazing experience. Afterwards, we went down to the bar and the bartender Simon was incredible. He made some of the best cocktails I’ve ever had. I couldn’t recommend this place enough. Big Thanks to Simon and Queen for one of the best nights I can remember

I came here to celebrate my birthday. The atmosphere at Queen Miami is undeniably vibrant, with a high-energy vibe that feels more like an upscale nightclub than a traditional dining venue or supper club. The DJ played a great set throughout the night, adding to the lively ambiance.
However, based on their Instagram and promotional content, I was expecting a more immersive entertainment experience. Unlike places like MainRo in Hollywood—where performances from dancers, acrobats, and musicians happen every 15–20 minutes—Queen’s entertainment felt limited. During my visit, I only saw one acrobatic performance, which was underwhelming compared to the build-up.
As for the food, it was decent but didn’t quite live up to the price point or the hype. For Japanese cuisine or just a sexy vibe in Miami, spots like Sparrow, Double Knot, Claudie, KYU, Sexyfish, Mila, Sugar, Papi Steak etc offer a more memorable and flavorful dining experience.
Overall, Queen Miami delivers a fun vibe and beautiful setting, but both the entertainment and culinary experience fell short of expectations for the price. Knowing what I know now, I would have preferred to celebrate at another restaurant in Miami.
