“Los Balkanes is a good Colombian bakery, and I’ve been coming here for years. It’s actually the only place I’ve found that sells authentic Colombian papa rellena. I’ve tried many other bakeries throughout Miami-Dade and Broward County, and none of them have the Colombian papa rellena like Los Balkanes does.

The prices for the papa rellenas have gone up, but to be fair, they are big and filling, so you do get a good portion. Overall, it’s a good Colombian bakery if you’re looking for Colombian food!“

“Went here on a Sunday around 1pm. Very quiet. The two ladies were friendly. Ordered the spinach cheese pastry which was just okay. Not hot and fresh. Not sure if it was because of the time of day. The cinnamon pastry was the same, good. The ladies warmed and served the pastries with a cup of very good coffee. The place is mediocre at best and price average.“

“If you are going in the months of January and February be prepared to wait for a table. It is worth the wait...and while you wait...it's worthwhile to take a walk and see the graffiti on the walls of Winwood. It is amazing art and worth walking around to see. Zak the Baker has the most super freakin' breads and dishes...PERIOD! Make sure to take home some bread with you...the olive zattar is Delish! Parking is street parking...would not advise you to bring kids unless they are well fed before going...worth the wait“
