Best food experience ever! We almost canceled because my wife isn't ready to do raw fish yet, but they accommodated her and it made for a great experience for our anniversary. The dishes kept getting better and chef Jeff, Jordan and team were top tier professional and entertaining. 10/10 would recommend.Dietary restrictions: My wife is afraid of raw sushi, so they were able to torch all of her dishes. Super accommodating.

12 courses for $60 was a winner. The speed and time limit were forgiven based on the value. Now that they raised price to $100, this restaurant isn’t worth it. Back when Sushi by Bou was only a few locations, it was great. As they scale, what made them special is being diluted.Pros: fresh fish, kind staff, food tastes good (but not incredible), loud music. You leave satiated but not full after 12 courses.Cons: this location lost their liquor license (BYOB only), price is now $100pp for 12 courses, capped at 1 hour. Doesn’t feel upscale. It was also awkward that we were the only customers in the restaurant the whole time (we did have an early for Miami 6pm res). Was in & out in 45 minutes. Why rush us when there is no one else here? At the end of meal, had to walk up to hostess and pay (as if you were at a Diner). With receipt, was given card to advertise their new location opening in Miami - they are still passing out with the old $60 pricing. Don’t you think it’s time to update that?

Nestled away from the bustling city streets of Miami, on a cloudy night, I discovered a hidden gem - Sushi By Bou. It was an experience that felt like a journey to a secret oasis, one that offered something new, exciting and exceptional. My companions and I opted for the omakase experience and we were immediately struck by the quality of the sushi. Each piece was a work of art, beautifully crafted and packed with incredible flavors. The chefs at Sushi By Bou paid meticulous attention to detail, ensuring that every dish was presented in the most aesthetically pleasing manner, while also tantalizing our taste buds with an explosion of flavors. What truly sets Sushi By Bou apart from other sushi restaurants is the intimate ambiance. The cozy space was dimly lit, creating an atmosphere that felt both warm and sophisticated. The sushi bar was impeccably clean, and the chefs were friendly, attentive and knowledgeable, making us feel like we were being served by close friends. One of the standout dishes of the night was the salmon roe. These delicate beads of flavor burst in our mouths, delivering an explosion of taste that was pure bliss. It was evident that the quality of the ingredients was exceptional, as every bite was a symphony of flavors and textures.Overall, Sushi By Bou is a must-visit for anyone seeking an unforgettable culinary experience in Miami. The omakase experience is a journey that takes diners on a tour of the finest sushi flavors and textures, while the ambiance is the perfect backdrop for a night of sophisticated indulgence. The salmon roe is an absolute standout dish, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. If you are looking for something new and exciting, then you will not be disappointed with Sushi By Bou.

You get rushed in, and then they are doing speed demon sushi work, the food was not good. We paid $100s of dollars to be pushed in and rushed out. They kicked us out after 1 hour, because the previous party was delayed so our set was so rushed. The sushi maker didn’t make sense, didn’t explain what we were eating , and he was moving so fast , it felt like a sped up tape. It was like a video game of sushi. Oh and did I forget they had these weird toaster ovens from the 1990s with ratchet aluminum foil stuffed in there like at abuelas house. I don’t know what they were toasting but I’ve never seen a broke down toaster in an omakase before. Have you? It was weird and it stunk. Beyond just making the experience ratchet, it was not a good thing to look at. I had the option to look at the speed demon omakase dealer or the Hialeah toaster. My friend and I rushed our conversation. I felt like I was on adderall or speed. That wasn’t dinner, it was a Mario race car video game. So not worth it . At all. Food was subpar. Uchi, Mr. Omakase is far better. This place didn’t even have its own bathroom. You have to walk 3 restaurants down. Waste of time, money, and food. Poor fish died for nothing.

I had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant last night and had an absolutely amazing omakase experience. The food was absolutely incredible, with each dish more delicious than the last. The fish was so fresh and the sushi was expertly prepared. The service was also top-notch, with the host, bartender, and sushi chefs all going above and beyond to make sure I had a great time. The restaurant itself is also very beautiful. It's a small, intimate space with a very elegant feel. The atmosphere is perfect for a special occasion or a romantic dinner. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a truly unforgettable omakase experience.

As someone who has experienced a decent amount of omakase it is difficult to give Sushi By Bou an unbiased review. I think the experience is predominantly catered towards those who want a sort of fast fashion version of omakase, who haven't experienced it before. Loud blaring music, playlist with no cohesion and someone constantly skipping songs when they see fit, no true presentation or explanation of dishes aside from what type of fish it is. The food is mediocre, the service is friendly but sloppy. Quite common to see staff constantly on their phones or forget orders. There was a 60$ option and a 120+ option, I would recommend the 60$ option only as the additional 5 courses vs the 12 was not that noticeable. If you are willing to pay a little more for a true Omakase experience I suggest Naoe, Hiden, The Den, or various other true omakase experiences that truly live up to the spirit of chef's choice.

Everything was a great overall experience. Quality sushi and prepared perfectly. Rice was seasoned perfectly and temperature was served just right. The only minor drawback was that I felt a bit rushed in between each coarse. There were a couple of times I didn't even have time to eat a piece of ginger between the next coarse. Other than that, overall great experience, great ambiance, and great food.

Hits my sweet spot. Pretty mainstream fish selection and high quality. Personalized service. Great vibe. Will be my new sushi spot in Brickell. Chelsea spot in NY is also great.

Best sushi spot in Brickell by far! The fish is unbelievably fresh and it's at a great value too, especially compared to other options that aren't nearly as good. Highly recommend

Sushi chef was talented but not very personable. Real problem was the razor thin cuts of fish, very stingy, especially for the upgraded bougie 18 course. Been to 2 other locations of bou and the fish size was easily 2-3x per course. Also, did not appreciate the Chinese chef who came in late and went straight to handling food without washing hands, and regularly touched his phone and didn't wash his hands afterwards. Had to flag people down when drinks were empty as well.

Chef Moon, Alex, and the whole staff absolutely blew us away. The food and experience were unforgettable and we cannot wait to return. Highlight of our whole trip to Miami. A must go!

Such a wonderful experience! We had Moon as our Chef, everything he prepared, was absolutely delicious. He was very engaging & took the time to explain each course in detail. We would definitely do this again. Great date night experience!

The food itself is great and the chefs are very skilful … BUT their omakase is a “timed experience” (the exact words of the hostess). So expect to be in and out of the restaurant in about 1:00h-1:15h max. Nigiri after nigiri at a relentless pace, loud music, little time to chat with your company or to savour the dishes before you are asked to get up, pay $360 for two omakase set menus and two cocktails and leave … if you are a fast eater you’ll love the experience, but if you are a mindful foodie like ourselves you might find asking yourself if Sushi By Bao has prioritised profit maximisation over culinary enjoyment. At that price tag you’ll find much more pleasant experiences in Miami.

Great assortment of Sushi. The chef was very nice. Overall staff were friendly & helpful. Sushi was delicious. It was nice to get to try so many different styles and not have to think about everything. Me & my wife had a great time.
